Welcome to join us! Many of us are still stuck here. π
Aww thanks for the reply. Maybe I will check out a couple of episodes anyway (I generally do like a cohesive plot else it feels a waste of time!) as I really like the ML, he looks a completely different character from when I saw him in Unicorn Girl so was intrigued.
Ooh...I thought it was normal but MDL above has it pegged at 10min episodes π I don't really mind if the story…
Lol I'm half and half on that one to be honest. I'm so full of admiration how it was done. I've never swung from ML-SML-ML syndrome in a handful of minutes π€£ really wish the subtitling was better so it can reach a wider audience, it was SO GOOD.
Doesn't it depend on the actors haha...Dylan was the same with all his FL - Bailu, Yukee Chen and Esther Yu as…
Lol BL and ARP are nearly 10 years older than Dylan and Shen Yue were at that age when they were filming/messing around (never saw the BTS but can imagine)...lol and they still have at least another 2 months of filming to go π

Same here π but if if it's done well these short series can be really good. ZMY's last drama was only FOUR minutes per episode π but it was very well filmed and I enjoyed it. Hope this is the same.
Yay I am with you - I had just a blast watching this as it was so light and funny. I've read the novel a long…
Teehee I thought it was an absolute gem of a moment - innocence, comedy and angst all rolled into one.
Episode 34 also gave me a spate of giggles - all the seduction to get the result of "Have you taken your painkillers?" And Shu Yi's resigned look of -"yup I am wearing this sexy black nightdress that has no effect on this guy" when he came into the room and looked at her π€£π€£π€£π€£

Lol did you mean to post this in Moonlight Mystique as this has Ao Rui Peng not Zhang Linghe...the other 2 are in SOKP I think (or at least I recognise 1!)?
Did you watch the extra episode and variety show after - if that helps?
Depends which genre you like as so many. I tend to follow Bai Lu so I have seen more of her dramas. I do love ZLH as well but have only seen him in his debut Maiden Holmes, another costume drama, which was he was also very good if you ignore the plotholes!
For Bailu's dramas I highly recommend 2 rather angsty costume dramas - One and Only (try not to find any spoilers about this if possible) - Till the End of the Moon (fantasy element, can be difficult for a newcomer to follow due to the editing to meet new Chinese entertainment regulations).
Lots of other recommendations above really depends what you like. I have a long list but haven't had time to watch all yet...even SOKP I have to wait till March to watch.
In ep 25, Yu You's parents hid two chess pieces referred to as "ministers" as a gentle reminder about marriage.…
No problem! Clearly the parents are as smart as their son LOL!
I was saying somewhere further below I think more text/context translations on this drama would help the international viewer - especially with Chinese play on words and news articles etc.

This translation stuff is fascinating. Mango Eng subs just said missing pieces - I was baffled about the "Minister" piece you mentioned but assume this is from Viki.
Would love a variety show after too π
ARP and BL have swords to play with however....π€£π€£π€£ I can't wait to see how their energy will translate on screen π proper Tom & Jerry.
