Going to rewatch one of Seyoung’s other dramas tomorrow to wean myself off of this one. Waiting/hoping for the blu-ray to do a full rewatch of Red Sleeve.

🤣😂 I’m gonna need that blu-ray to have unedited or the extended versions of the HAPBANG now. But I will say that’s the most I’ve seen for a bed scene in a sageuk in a while.
After red pants and all his other dance performances, umm…yeah 19+ would be 🔥🔥

My take: It was him going to the afterlife at the end of ep17. His bad dream/fear from ep16 came true but he wanted the moment before the bad dream to stay forever so as he passed, he went to that moment he wanted to stay in.

🤣😂 His smile when he said, I’m not going to do anything, I’m just going to lie next to you tonight. 😈

I don’t think I can ever watch that scene without crying.

I was really looking forward to mom/dad/toddler Munyo time so hoping it’s in the blu-ray.

I did the cry, cry, tear faced laugh, then cry the rest of the two episodes.

The last sageuk that won Daesang at Baeksang according to wiki was the FL for Queen Seondeok in 2010 and before that was Jumong for the whole drama. It’ll be tough competition for Daesang but hope it’ll get a nomination. And hoping for Baeksang nominations/awards for Best Actor/Actress for our leads too as well as the rest of the cast/production.

One small line that really stood out to me was from Court Lady Seo. You notice how it’s always being said that Doek-Im was the only concubine that San chose for himself. However, Court Lady Seo said Uibin was the only concubine that chose San. It’s so true. Everyone else didn’t have a choice as the were part of a selection process for the King. These concubines and their families were there for the King but Doek-Im chose San, the man (as she said, if only they were commoners).

Agree with your points. That’s what makes this a masterpiece and different from the other sageuks.

Yes please. Modern drama next to mix it up.

I can’t say more about how much I love Seyoung’s emoting in this drama, both Junho and Seyoung. Their eyes and faces, every movement meant something.
