That's how it is in Chinese culture though, obedience is VERY important. It's so important that in ancient China,…
Yes, it’s hard for those that didn’t grow up in such cultures to understand how filial piety is ingrained in a lot of Asian cultures all throughout our lives. As grown adults my parents had to listen to my grandparents judgment and now that my grandparents are gone, they must still consult my eldest uncle out of respect before major decisions. Hierarchy in traditional families is huge.

And someone noticed that she had a ring on there versus the marriage certificate scene so make-up proposal scene could have occurred between the two events.
Ending spoiler: I really really hated the fact that they let Lao Gao get away with everything he did. He basically…
I didn’t like how Gao didn’t get any other punishment either. But regarding remorse, Gao and LX were at a standstill about expressing regret and remorse…their physical health is the manifestation of their remorse. They are both too stubborn to verbally admit anything which is in line with their character. IMO, Gao refusing surgery was his way of expressing remorse and LX’s unspoken forgiveness was an extension of his regret over past events.
"Some words can't be said after drinking." - because LiXun basically made a drunk confession, when he said he suffered no loss as long as she's by his side.
"Something can't be done after drinking." - 'something' = them sleeping together lol
"Are you sober?" - basically checking if what he said and what happened was just because of alcohol and if he regrets it now that he's sober.
"It's late to ask this." Because she said it 'can't be' yet they already did it.
Because all this time LiXun is saying he doesn't wanna get back together, ZhuYun is feeling unsure if he means it or everything that happened that night is only because of alcohol. 😊”

It may be because they followed the novel with Gao and FZJ’s punishment. I also think they pushed for a civil case and not a criminal case with the source code thing so Gao wouldn’t have gone to jail unless he was involved in FZJ’s embezzlement.
What exactly happened to the shares of L&P...Li Xuan transferred her shares to GJH so where did his shares go?
LX transferred ZY’s 50 to GJH and then gave GJH executor rights to his shares. So with the executor rights, he probably manipulated something when he sold off the medical portion of L&P and used the profits to re-invest into L&P under his own name which he then went and changed the ownership which is the stamped paper he showed LX in prison. He basically “legally” stole the company from LX. With the addition of other investors like FZJ, LX basically lost everything.
In the novel she was already pregnant when they got their wedding certificate, she just didnt know lol
Yeah…same with google translate. You are right…apologies…just edited it…lol…I got it mixed up with her mom figuring out the household register was missing which was why prompted them t get registered. Boss Dong holding off her mom at the office got me 🤦🏻♀️
Can't imagine how they would look as parents. They both still look like adolescents. XD
Lol…interview question about what they would like to see if there was an extension…CFY said that if he could add an extra episode it would be to show them growing old together. 🥰
I'm just 10 mins into ep 35, and honestly, I dislike GJH sooo much and that isn't going to change after everything…
“(Just my opinions. This is penned to get rid of the frustration of not being able to hate GJH as much as I'd like to.)”
The director actually said that he wanted viewers to have those mixed feelings regarding Gao, to give a reason behind his betrayal since the novel really didn’t do that. He wanted to give the viewers a glimpse into GAO’s inner thoughts which he felt was missing in the novel. They did do a good job on GAO’s character.
“But after the scene where Li Xun mentioned how Hou Ning had no one to pull him up at the right time, the same can be said for GJH. I couldn't help but think (hypothetically) that if Li Xun were only a little bit more gentle or a little bit more passionate about his past friendship with GJH since the beginning, if only Li Xun had given GJH the validation he needed, things would have been drastically different... (maybe).”
Actually, there’s not too much of a difference in how he treated Gao and how he treated HN. He also responded to them in the same manner when they didn’t listen to him. LX said similar things to both about following him…paraphrasing “If you want to leave, he won’t hold you, but if you follow him, you’ll win”…for Gao it was success/winning in programming and for HN it’s staying on the right path (go legal so no prison).
IMO…The difference is how Gao/HN each reacted to LX when he fixes their mess ups.
HN screwed up by hacking L&P and hacked Feiyang. LX yelled at him and threw him from the second floor to scare him to teach him a lesson. HN turned himself around.
Gao screwed up his own presentation with Blue Crown and embarrassed himself but blamed LX because LX saved their chances with the project. LX gave him pointers before the presentation but he dismissed it. If LX didn’t show up with a back-up, Gao would have still been embarrassed by Blue Crown’s executive. That was the start of true resentment. Most of their arguments was because of differences of opinion in standards of their work. LX really was better or more forward thinking. This is even shown in them after college…Gao took shortcuts and copied others while LX was about innovation. I will agree that LX needed more patience with his words/criticism but I don’t think it would have made a difference. Gao had a hard time taking suggestions. The only way I can think of would be if LX backs down and does not fix anything or be around when Gao fails which would have happened with that contest if LX stayed out of it as he originally planned. The Blue Crown App incident reminds me of HN’s reaction to LX not wanting to leave…LX put others ahead of them each time so there’s resentment.
I felt bad for Gao during the college years since things didn’t go his way often but most of his resentment I feel was towards himself which he projected onto LX. Guilt and resentment destroyed his health.

In the novel, she was prego from their first night back together. At least that what I got from the translation. Maybe if they do an epilogue they might include it?
