I thought this was a promising show, but it turns out to be a waste of time.

I thought this was a promising show. So, even if it did had a very slow phased first few episodes, I decided to push through.

The premise is good, the actors were great, so I expected too much. But for a paranormal/horror show, this is not at all that scary.

I think the writers didn't managed to give the show a heart. And I'm not talking about romance, I just don't feel attached to the characters. They die or they don't, I don't care. I just wanted to know the conclusion.

The writers didn't have enough room to maneuver, so it ended at just 12 episodes.

I really enjoyed watching this one. It's easy to watch, nothing too sinister, nothing overly dramatic. It's a light romantic drama, on the now trending military-medical romantic drama.

It had some fillers here and there but it's still entertaining to watch. The progression of each of the characters development is really charming. I also love the fact that this show gave the viewers different blend/flavours of love.

The casts were good actors. They didn't have explosive chemistry with their onscreen partners, but it works well. The Male Lead, second and third ML ain't cruel. And most importantly, all three FL ain't dumb or helpless.

I was never bored with this one. I think it is well written. Nothing like with other shows that even you're on your tenth episode, feels like nothing of substance is happening yet.

Oh and it has a happy ending so there goes the spoiler.

Not your typical RomCom

I thought this was just another RomCom. Boy I was so wrong..

The story was so complex and yet not convoluted in anyway. It started very light, they're the typical opposites attract situation. ML is a successful romance turned crime/suspense author, he deals with the gruesome. FL is a sassy mind doctor, she deals with the day to day ugliness of life. Both of them had childhood traumas that left them scarred. It was mildly annoying at first that ML seems to be a better mind doctor than our FL.

I almost dropped the show, but glad I didn't.. it had so much to offer. The romance, the comedy, family drama, with a bit of mystery. It also stresses on the awareness on mental health. The anticipation of a heart break towards the last four or five episodes is a bit hard to watch but at least the heart aches still leads to a happy ending. They healed each other also their families..

I think the actors did a good job portraying their roles and the show also had a good OST. So it's perfect for binge watching..

Eye opening show

Every Filipino knows Jose Rizal as a hero. But the spotlight was never on his family's patriotism. It's good that this show does that, focus not only with JPR but also shines some with family.

Like on how JPR's older brother Paciano influenced his ideals on patriotism. Or like how the Spaniards made JPR's mom walk from Calamba to Sta Cruz. Well, Ilustrado shows not only JPR and his family's heroism and patriotism but also their sacrifices for each other and specially for the country.

I have one question though. Where is Josephine? JPRs wife?

Traditional costume romance w/ really dark undertone.

I love the backstory, although it was the typical formula: ML and FL met while they were young, lost contact, met again as different person's. From adversary's, to friends, to lovers.

Even though this was supposedly a traditional costume romance, it has a really dark undertone. The story got a little draggy at some parts that I had skipped. Still, I managed to push through.. Glad the writers gave FL a happy ending that she deserves.

Good chemistry between the actors, even the young ones did good. This is not the first show who did the cross dressing as a major aspect of the show, but they did good. Not as awkward as other show I've seen.

What do you call a story without a conclusion? A purpose? Easy, mean it's useless. It's a nightmare

I honestly don't know what to say with this one. But this show is a nightmare.

Yes the production is ok, the acting was ok, the visuals ok too. But story was shit.

It was never revealed where the otherworldly beings really came from. Then the story jump to the point where the religious group was in the seat of power but is definitely the bad guys. And the street gang, bad guy looking are the real protectors of the people.

It also never explained how a newborn can be a sinner and how it survived judgement. Then suddenly the show was done with no conclusion. The baby was alive. The religious group's abuse of power were exposed. The said group's founder who died at the early part of the story suddenly miraculously alive again.

If this is a marketing strategy for people to watch the next season? Then, no thanks. It's a waste of time.

When Pikachu fell in love..

Nothing profound to see here. Just the usual pure entertainment. A young love, almost innocent love shared between the ML and the FL..

Added a little paranormal element to their love, an electric current flowing through our FL body. A spark, causing an attraction to who ever is affected by it.

After they've gotten over that challenge and still manage to be friends, they eventually fell in love. The latter part of the story was a bit unnecessary, for me. After facing all the obstacles, the FL left the ML without notice? Oh well, they still ended up together. Happy ending for everyone.

Nothing profound, it's a classic formula for CDrama RomComs

I really enjoyed watching this one. Nothing profound but entertaining to say the least. Classic formula of a Chinese traditional/period RomCom. Good looking Main Leads.

Started of as an adventure of a mischievous FL and her warrior ML. Solving patterns and mysteries with their friends.

Then it turned a little to a political drama. Battle for power within the royals, then between nations. Some arranged marriages between major and minor characters. All this leading our main characters to find each other and fall in love.

After a while, the classic formula with CDrama became visible. ML and FL had a traumatic connection in the past. Almost everyone wanted the FL, almost everyone wanted the ML. Almost all except the villain.. All villains here are so obsessed either with their so called love or for power. After all the chaos when we think everything would be ok, it would seems like that the one responsible for the others death is a family of your love. Creating bunch of drama and conflicts for our main couple. Got a bit tiresome at around episode 30, but I decided to push through because the story's almost finished anyway.

They did battle it out in the end with the help of their family and friends, to save their nation and their love. So, it's still a happy ending.

Zombie like apocalypse plus political drama

Production superb. Story wise, fresh take on the zombie apocalypse theme. Acting's really really good. Even the visuals are gruesome in a good way.

Zombie like apocalypse plus political drama.

The crowned prince fighting for his rights as the rightful ruler and fighting the undead. He's admirable even from the start. He's search for the truth, how brave he was from start to end. His resolve to protect the weak. His loyalty to the nation and his friends. He courage to do what's right, killing his own father, taking in a brother who's not even his blood, and even giving up the crown.

The paranormal component of the show was made as realistic as possible. A plant that could give life to the dead and dying, turns out to be a parasitic issue. So all good..

Successful in crossdressing FL, failed on ROMANCE

Slow start, I came to the point of almost dropping the show. Story picked-up at around episode 6 or 7.

Started of with a fun going crossdressing FL, with a no none-sense ML. The show had a comedic start I thought it was a RomCom. Then it turned political with a lot of betrayal and deaths. It turned frustratingly ugly ending.

If you're looking for a happy ending or even just a good ending like me, then this is not for you. Some show gives us an epic journey but with a frustrating destination. But this one is not an epic love story, and it has an abrupt ending. This one's not for me, it feels like a waste of time.

This maybe the one of most cringey show I've ever watched.

A RomCom from top to bottom. If you can get over all the cringey mushy stuff, you'll appreciate it's entertainment value. Romance + Comedy + Fight Scenes, is a very good formula of a good show.

This shows how familial love/loyalty can be more than just about blood. How real love should be, or how it can overcome social status or even gender.

It was funny to see a straight guy fall for a man, how he struggled to understand his feelings.. ML and FL started as sworn brothers, from being each other's support system to falling in love. Luckily for him, it turns out that she's a girl after all.

The supporting characters were fun to watch too. The show gave a bit of a backstory for our characters really well.

These long journey is worth watching..

Complex story line with profound character developments. Even the somewhat minor characters were given beautiful subplots. Thus making it super long.

ML and FL've been through so much together and even when they were apart. They were immortals, in their long life, they've experienced multiple trials and triumphs.

Throughout the whole story many things happened to them. In our FL case, from student to god, from mortal to immortal, from being loved to being lost and broken. With the ML, it was about his journey of falling in love with a mortal, to losing her, to finding love again. They've experienced different kinds of sacrifices and betrayals. It was just a blessing that they still managed to have each other in the end. It's really hard to explain, so just go and see for yourself.

Oh the son of the main lead is really entertaining. His innocence is refreshing to see.

TBH I almost dropped this show at around Ep6, glad I didn't.

Mysterious Love is the title of the show. But so far from what I've watched, all I'm getting is a mysterious plot.

Story started as the FL still looking for her savior. According to the backstory, he's one of her captors. Very Stockholm syndrome like.

And when they've met again, ML hid his identity and denied everything else. All in the name of protecting her. The only reason he got close to her again, is to retrieve some kind of coin from her. It is something she took from before they've first met. Then he plans to leave her, again, according to ML, is for her own protection.

In the end, he didn't leave her. Apparently, ML really loved her for a long time. He protected her with his life and made her his wife. The major let down of the story would be the big bad evil of the story. It's disappointing to say the least..

This one is really good & well written, it left no room for a sequel

This one is really good. It is well written. So good, there's no room for a sequel..

Albeit their unusual profession, this story is very realistic with very mundane issues. It is very refreshing. No crazy Ex's. No evil in-laws. No end of the world drama.

Main lead actors do look great on screen and can act really well. Oh and the kissing scenes were done beautifully, you can actually feel like they really like what they're doing.

ML and FL were classmates. FL likes ML and chases after him. Nothing over the top though, just the usual typical highschool crush young love variety. A decade later they've met again. They're living in two very different worlds and was working hard to achieve their dreams.

It was fun to watch their story unfold. How they managed to fall in love and adopt to each other's lives. Started as friends hanging out with each other. Then came the ML's confused feelings and insecurities, like how he's not good enough for FL. He ended up hurting her and pushing her away.

After while, their lives move on but she was still constantly on his mind. He tried to make amends and when she replied it was ok because it doesn't matter anymore, it scared him. It finally made him realize that he likes her and he's losing her. Then he pursued her until she relented.

From unrequited love, to pursuing their dreams, to falling in love. From overcoming differences and daily life challenges, to successfully being in each other's lives. It was so realistically beautiful.

I knew

Wow. This is one's really good. Story wise, it's a classic revenge themed drama. Not so fresh, but still entertaining enough because it was done just right.

Nowadays, tv drama tends to be too long with too many filler episodes. But with this one, maybe it could've use a few more. Like a bit more back story for the police captain and what happened after the whole shebang. Or a bit more time to fall in love, before that bullet straight to the head. A little bit of conclusion could've been better.

To be honest, it was really obvious who was the villain since episode 1. It was painful to see FL, go through the trauma of tragically losing her father. And as an adult, it was painful to see her lose everything. Every truth that she believed in, every pain that she held close to her heart, and even the man she could've loved.

This show has a classic plot, very good fight sequences and a little bit pull on the heart strings. I wouldn't mind rewatching this again or watching a sequel if ever there's one.
