First two episodes were great. After that episodes were semi okay but the last 3-4 have been weak. We are tired…
The better part of the plot is based around that lie tho, if they resolved it too quickly, then there would be no more story to tell, just the leads being all lovey-dovey for like 6 episodes? That would be boring too, even more boring. (If they stretch the lie for another 1-2 episodes it will be too much, and it will turn boring, but as it seems JH found out now and things will start to resolve in ep 9, I feel like itās well-paced enough for me, so far.)
I never felt Da Rim owes anyone any explanation. Yes, lying for a job is unethical and if get caught, she could…
I agree that she needs to come clean to both of them. Although the lie and situation is way more complicated with JH and the explanation is more urgently needed, she also is keeping information from Seonu (She thinks that it is insignificant, and I understand why she would see it like that, but still she should be completely honest in the next episodes) and had involved him in the situation first, without his consent (no matter how it is now, that he is using the situation to his gain too, and yet himself canāt be completely honest, it doesnāt erase or āeven it outā - they both should talk openly with each other, and apologize probably).
I like how they tried to keep it realistic. It would have been irresponsible to have any scenes where JH meets…
Agreed (thatās also why I think she didnāt lie that sheās a single mom - some people here question why she didnāt do that - itās another thing asking her grown up friend to help her (even though it wasnāt right either, that she used him without his consent first) and itās another thing making a kid lie like that in a situation that he doesnāt understand, it would be so wrong and unfair towards Jun, especially if his real dad is right there).
I think this ML is a loser and should get some real problems in his life. The son of a bitch falls in love with…
He seems to have real problems though [his father being mentally abusive to his mother, he has trauma (because of his father) and disdain for cheaters but he almost became one (so heās torturing himself over it), his father being controlling and pushing him into a business arranged marriage].
its a kdrama they will use same tropes, but I like that in this one the fake marriage and the falling in love…
And so far, I donāt think he realised that ML and FL like each other mutually and how much they do (Darim even denied it in front of him - she lies in front of the ML that sheās married because she needs the job, but she also isnāt being truthful with SML because she doesnāt think it matters).
she thinks about him constantly, she has to give herself a pep talk to deal with his engagement, she literally…
I feel like while she is aware that she is supposed to be a married woman, the fact that sheās only pretending and in reality she isnāt, makes her mentality way different than if she actually was married. Sheās unconsciously disregarding a lot of things, and doesnāt feel that bothered at heart about them, because she isnāt really married, and thatās why she stays quite obvious about a lot of things (like she thought that Jihyeok was upset about her showing up at his apartment because of his engagement and not because that her being a āmarried womanā made what they were having inappropriate and wrong and he did want to do that).
However for our male lead, the things he knows as true, are the unquestionable reality for him, so heās way more bothered by these things, has more thoughts an conflict regarding the situation.
Sheās living and making choices while knowing her lie is a lie, while he lives in her lie as his reality (well, up until the end of ep 8 it seems). I am not trying to justify the FL, sheās started to annoy me too. Just say, that she is quite dense.
Seonu directly manipulating Hayeong to marry Jihyeok so that he can have Darim š Like he knows both Jihyeok…
yes, but on the other hand, I donāt think heās aware of even half of how much Darim likes Jihyeok, and from his perspective Jihyeok is a stranger that suddenly and strongly took interest in Darim (he doesnāt know how they met in Jeju, Darim also denied to Seonu that Jihyeok likes her or that thereās something between them more than once), which might come off as sleezy. So while part of his reasoning is selfish, he also has the credit of not knowing a bunch of stuff (so far) that the viewers already know about.
But Iām not a fan of the love triangle troupe being used here either.
I love how you're sticking up for the SML and praising how cute the second couple is but are you failing to forget…
But the fact that she is treated like a mistress by ML is also entirely because of her own actions, as she is the one who always initiates contact between her and SML. SML is only involved/at fault for making her not tell the truth, which he is doing both for his selfish reason and for FLās sake (she asked him to keep that secret no matter what too) so that she wonāt lose the job etc.
See, I feel like this is a realistic representation of someone who has denied letting themself get attached to…
No, I agree with everything you said and I am of the same sentiment. Thatās why what I said above is really just a pet peeve, my irritation speaking (is the female lead really worth all this trouble? ) rather than a more rational take on his character haha.
How does the SML have so much screen time! Like are they trying to launch his acting career the the main stream…
Really? I didnāt notice it that much, he is the SML but heās also listed as the main character so he should have a pretty big amount of screen time by default (I guess)
the ML in this case is also her boss and she will be arrested for fraud if the fact that she is not married is…
If she registered herself as a single mother she would have to eventually involve Jun (SeonUās son) without involving his father (since in the first place she decided to apply and lie because there kind of is a kid and a man āin her houseā), which would be weird and unfair towards that boy (pretending? Acting? he doesnāt know about the situation and a child should be involved in adults problems like that). I guess thatās why she applied while giving SeonUās name as her husband, itās easier and less damaging to pull off.

to be honest he did reject Haeyoung, although quite passively/delicately/lousily, and he remains kinda ambiguous/indecisive afterwards (sheās also unfazed by how he replies to her advances and kinda pursues him anyway no matter what he says - so far).
Nah, I like him, but thereās no way. (Also honestly, when someone is the SML 99% of the time they donāt get the main girl, if the pairing isnāt excellent what is the point of cheering for that ship? Since itās quite obvious that it wonāt happene?) Eventually with the SFL, although right now itās not looking promising.
However for our male lead, the things he knows as true, are the unquestionable reality for him, so heās way more bothered by these things, has more thoughts an conflict regarding the situation.
