This drama goes two ways: you like it or you don't. Depending on how you feel about Slice of Life stories- there's…
great review! I agree that it mostly depends on what kind of genres you enjoy to watch. The drama isnāt objectively bad, but for someone who doesnāt enjoy slice of life and wants a more intense or thrilling law-related story itās not going to be good or enjoyable. On the other hand if someone is a fan of the genre, or wanted precisely what this drama delivers, itās going to be very good!
I absolutely loved this drama! ā¤ļøIt had some lower moments and there was very obvious product placement in…
My favorite episode was probably episode 7. There probably isnāt any specific reason to this (well, it was nice when they showed new year celebrations), I just remembered it particularly well, I must have found it particularly fun.
I absolutely loved this drama! ā¤ļø It had some lower moments and there was very obvious product placement in a few episodes, that got rather annoying at some point but thankfully it didnāt last till the end.
I really like the cast, and I liked all of the characters and their stories. I have to single out Kang You Seok, and say that I feel like he did an especially good job here. I am glad to see him land more main roles (I first saw him in the BL drama Light on Me).
I also really enjoyed the story, granted even more so probably because I was in a mood for this kind of drama. I liked the calmness, and I liked how non-biding it was while still being interesting. Itās that kind of drama that doesnāt keep you awake at night and you watch it to relax, 1-2 episodes a day, accompanied by some good food.
Unfortunately (for me), I am aware that this type of dramas usually arenāt āfavoured by the massesā and even as I was watching it I knew that itās going to have a lot of negative opinions, and that a lot of people are going to be dissatisfied with the very things that I liked about this drama.
Well, everyoneās got their cup of tea, and apparently this is mine :)
I do like all kinds of dramas though, the thrilling ones and fantasy, mysterious or violent ones too, a lot. But I think I needed something peaceful at this moment. The slice of life bits of this drama, the workplace reality or the meals the characters shared so frequently with each other⦠It was all so charming in itās own way, and somehow reassuring, about life. I think thatās why Iāve come to love this drama so much!
This sounds interesting and Iām all for it, but I wonder if theyāll change the setting like they tend to do: from (what I assume based on the names is) a medieval or baroque Europe-inspired historical fantasy setting to a Goreyo or Joseon-inspired historical fantasy setting..?
Like how the ML is kind of like a parallel to the FLās mother. He said that he even let his girlfriend cheat on him for a year, heās āpatient like thatā and FL said earlier that her mother would disapprove revenge and try to forget it because she is ātoo patientā. [I took that phrases quite out of context to present a point, but there were a lot of other things said alongside them, so theyāre not as they might seem just reading this comment. Overall both leads were quite sympathetic while sharing these things, and it were āI regret, but what can I do?ā kind of moments too.] The FL kinda resents that fact about her mother, now she has met the FL who is alike her in character in that aspect, itās kind of poetic, in the way that life sometimes is.
Anyway, both leads are strong AND pathetic in their own way, I really like that though.
Iām very interested in Kim Minha after āPachinkoā she seems like a good actress, and the premise of this new series seems like a good background for her performance ā¤ļø Canāt wait!
Currently being filmed and is expected to finish filming around mid-Decemberhttps://www.filmmakers.co.kr/proCrewRecruiting/26365093
Thanks for information! Wait, itās not going to release in December then? The release date written in mdl is December 2025, but itās impossible to be released so soon after the end of filming, right?
Yeah, Iām thinking the same⦠it seems like a new trend nowadays. Itās true that quite a lot of kdramas in the past could do without the 16 episodes (and have 14 or 12 instead), but now itās the opposite issue, theyāre forcibly shortening kdramas to be 12-6 episodes to fit in with the trendā¦
The actorās age gap isnāt an issue to be honest (isnāt his character younger than Yumi in the webtoon anyway? Of course probably not 10 years, but itās not something that you can notice visually - besides Kim Goeun looks very youthful - , so itās not very important, itās just acting anyway), they both look young and pretty. The thing is that the actor doesnāt seem to be that experienced, and from what Iāve seen of him heās not that good, which would probably show when paired against Kim Goeun, who is experienced and is a good actress. Iām afraid that they wonāt have good chemistry, and that their performance will look mismatched⦠(On the other hand I do wish to feel positive towards the actor and cheer for him, everyone starts somewhere and who knows? Maybe heāll be really good in this role. I donāt want to be overly negative ājust becauseā, but so far it doesnāt look promisingā¦)

Yes, you may be right! Weāll letās see how it turns out.
Nooo donāt die your so sexy aha
