pls if anyone knows where I can get their manhwa!! or the novel
This show is based on the novel with the same name. If I'm not mistaken, I heard that the novel and the writing for the series simultaneously had been developed together around the same time. I think GMMTV has released the novel for sale. https://shop.gmm-tv.com/product/ticket-to-heaven-novel-thai-version-th I also saw somebody posting a link to read translated novel in English below, like maybe a day ago, so you can just probably scroll down to find it somewhere.
Firstly, This series is to pander to Filipinos and westerners and South Americans, right? Because what does Catholicism…
I guess Buddhism is LGBTQ+ friendlier in general, so maybe queer conflict can’t really get built up to the point that it can become a premise related to Buddhism in which queer topic is not such an issue, and therefore that’s probably why it seems harder to do this kind of story in Buddhist context.
Thailand did have series with its religious Buddhist theme as a premise within its own culture, just nothing to do with queer issues though, like for example the series “The Believers”, with scammers taking business opportunity to exploit people's religious beliefs for money, or “The Stone”, portraying deception or dark side of Buddhist amulet business.

This series is a remake of the Taiwanese film Your Name Engraved Herein, I think.
'Ticket to Heaven' is based on the novel with the same name. If I'm not mistaken, I heard that the novel and the writing for the series simultaneously have been developed together around the same time. And now GMMTV probably has the novel in its shop. https://shop.gmm-tv.com/product/ticket-to-heaven-novel-thai-version-th
some of yall are a little insensitive and saying this is "too depressing" or the subject matter is "…
I’ve been reading people’s comments and while I was seeing comments like it was “too depressing” or “too intense” as you mentioned, I think I saw more comments expressing a bit disappointment that this official trailer wasn’t as dark as the previous pilot one. So I feel like more viewers actually are afraid or concerned that it won’t go as dark or heavy with awareness as they expected.
I myself wonder how heavy it can turn out and will surely watch this show. I don’t mind that this trailer looked a bit lighter than the previous pilot. Don’t really know if the series can become somewhat gut-wrenching. Just hope that it can really bring proper awareness and deliver something as heavy to the point it’s supposed to be, and I’ll just be all right, fine with it.
Actually not. I totally forgot that was even a thing because they're really very different on this series.
Right, agree that their characters are very different in here from those in their last series. Anyway, can't help seeing that Up's character is still a son from a rich family and Poom's character is still somewhat poor trying to earn enough money to make ends meet again.
Two questions: Who is Silom? And am I the only one who want Tai as the lead in another series? Adorable with his…
“Silom” is the name of a main street, which is Silom Road, in Bangkok’s business district. In the show they also referred to “Soi 2”. As for the word “Soi” it means small lane/alley/side street.
So in this context it is Silom Soi 2, meaning something like 2nd street/alley off the main Silom Road, and this area is a red-light district in Bangkok, around where the bar Wayu works for is located.

I will never get tired of reading comments of people who are fighting over acting in thai bls. Thai acting is…
I haven’t read those comments you mentioned. Thailand produces the most BL/GL/QL shows, so of course not every one of them will be good. Well, some are bad but not that we can’t find any good shows. We just have to try to pick the ones with quality. To some extent I agree that unfortunately some Thai actors aren’t good at acting, but not all of them and it depends on each actor and each show. Some others are pretty good, like Bilkin-PP in "I told sunset about you", Aof-Gun in "Not me", Ohm-Nanon in "Bad Buddy", Film-Jam in “To Sir with Love”, Jimmy-Sea in "Last Twilight", Bright-Nonkul in "I feel you linger in the air", Est-William in "Thamepo", Tor-JJ in "Spare me your mercy", Pond in "180 degree longitude passes through us" and with Pan(Peterpan) in "Reset", Earth-Mix, First-Khao, Gem.-Fourth and Mark in "Moonlight Chicken", Keng-Namping and Tle-Firstone in “Khemjira”, Mile-Apo and Son-Euro in “Shine”, for example. I think these guys are pretty good actors in those series.
