THIS STORY TOOK OVER MY LIFE. I've never felt so much distress and frustration and love all at once in any show. This is truly a SOAP OPERA. If you don't want a soap opera, then get out of here now! This isn't a martial arts, fantasy, or political drama. It is a soap opera with awesome humor. :)

My friend and I would literally gush while watching our two main leads together. We were shipping them so hard and later searched if they were dating. AND OMG THEY WERE ALREADY MARRIED IN REAL LIFE. Their chemistry on screen is from them being real life hubby and wifey T_______T

Everything is perfect except two things:
(1) the worst thing about this show is the weird music. Actually, it's the weird sound effects where I don't know if the scene is supposed to be serious or light? The sound effect becomes distracting.
(2) long conversations that could be shortened--the time spent on theses conversations could've been used on something better like giving us more scenes between our two leads.

Once I got used to the direction of the story, I started hitting the fast-forward button during the "screaming women" or "conniving women" scenes.
Funnily enough, our female lead's dad is the worst person in that world. Ambivalence really is quite despicable. Makes me question my own values now.
Our titular character doesn't become the main focus until like... episode 15? I don't remember when exactly, so expect that.

I look forward to RE-watching this in the future! :D Lol

A Hidden Gem!

This was such a gem of a find! I don't understand why this was limited to only 5 episodes, unless there's a 2nd season? You could tell that the story was becoming cohesive by episode 4, and once you got midway to episode 5, you knew what was gonnna happen to our female lead. The truth about the farmer was actually surprising and refreshing! I loved the ending. It felt like an end to a season (rather than the end of the show).

This was a light comedy and had an anime-flair to it. If you rely on subtitles (like me), then the arrows and labels on people/things may become overwhelming on screen. **If you're not used to watching anime, you might be bothered with the bits of added narration and arrows to explain a scene.** It didn't bother me too much.

I definitely do NOT recommend this show to someone who is NEW to J-Dramas or to someone who is not an anime geek. Why? Because the style of humor is expressed using the same exaggerated motions and expressions in anime/manga. It's meant to be ridiculous, but may come off as being ridiculous. You know? ;) ;p

Also, it's obviously low-budget. I actually stopped watching a few minutes into episode 1 because of that; plus it seemed too informational and became almost like an educational program. But when I watched the preview shown on Netflix, I laughed out loud, so I went back to the episode looking forward to the scene from the preview. Next thing I knew, I was counting how many episodes I had left and got sad when I entered episode 5. :(

I just couldn't believe I had only one episode left and it was only 5 episodes that made up the show. :(

Considering that it's only 5 episodes with a 45 minute episode length, I would re-watch this show with a friend.

It seemed like the entire cast had fun energy and chemistry with each other! This was such a funny show. It's so quirky and silly. The actress cast for the lead was a great choice. I have no idea who she is. I think she carried a good balance playing an airhead without becoming irritating.

Fingers crossed for season 2!!

P.S.
Music Rating: there is no music in this series.

I have 10 more episodes but my god. I can no longer watch for just the main lead whom I adore. Nana’s acting is cringing and the inconsistencies are distracting. So bad,

The lead female is also very annoying and too ditzy for my taste. She's smart, but she's just... she's a bit daft.

This show tries too hard to be serious when it seems like it is supposed to be a light show?

I pushed myself to finish.,.. but I finally called it quits. Don't waste your time. The first half is decent. Not so much the second half,

I pushed myself to keep going forward by episode 6. It was around there that watching the show became a chore.
I love the two lead actors which is why I picked up the show, but the story quickly became dull and ridiculous. I kept watching because I am in love with Kim Jae Wook (ever since Coffee Prince!) but I couldn't handle the stupidity of the writing. Gah.

I really liked the romance between the two main characters, but the writing got so weak and there wasn't really a story to watch anymore.

I absolutely hated who directed each episode. Wtf is up with the soft glows and weird angles in every single f***ing scene? It is so damn distracting that I get mad thinking about it, still.

The romance for all three women was so weak. The main couple had no chemistry at all and their conversations were exhaustingly dull and trite. I literally skipped all of their scenes from episode 5 and onward.

The topic of how search engines are run and the influence of users and politics was what kept me hooked to the end, but how did I get there? By skipping so much in each episode that I was actually viewing 30-40 mins worth of an episode.

The two things I enjoyed in this drama was the plot of politics and search engines, and the spunky woman who literally kicked ass... except her love story was meh, but the best out of the women.

The advertisements in this show was disgustingly blatant. I hate shows that essentially become a commercial. I get that advertising sponsors are needed and I'm used to the weird interruptions in a scene to include product placement, but this show is nearly on Goblin's level of advertising, except this show sucked because it tried SO HARD to look beautiful.

I highly recommend skipping this show. Unless you enjoy watching 80% of scenes filmed in a weird angle, with a diffused and soft look, and fashion-like commercials.

ROMANCE! It happens.

I have to agree with other reviewers about this being the rare drama where having 16 episodes is justified. It wrapped up nicely, but I think an extra episode or two would have made the ending feel less rushed and given us more time with the two leads. There was romance, but not enough personally. Also, the romance isn't gushy and feels sort of balanced considering the main guy's disorder,

When this show first came out, it seemed to be overlooked.

I gave it a chance since it was released during the initial time period when big Korean networks were releasing new stuff on Netflix.

I was yearning for more at the end. :( It was excellent. There's no romance, especially between the two leads, which I was, and am, happy about. I honestly think the main lady could have had a dash of romance in the story. :) :) . This is coming from someone who doesn't regard romance as a must in tv watching.

PHENOMENAL. Round of applause. The summary totally sells this show SHORT. This was on my list for a while, but I finally gave it a chance during a dry spell after realizing the main actor is the same guy who played the lead in Spellbound—an awesome movie you need to watch if you haven’t already.

I very rarely write reviews because I’m too lazy, but this show went beyond my expectations.

Pure, unadulterated, comical comedy.
It is light hearted... but very SLOW in the beginning. It wasn't until episode 7 or so that I began binge watching episodes. Totally worth it.

It is an intentionally absurd comic made into a tv show. Bromance is STRONG with this one. The chemistry is present with every single person. If you want something warm, fuzzy, and absurd, watch this.

BONUS (or not): lots of accounting and economics talk! I LOVED it. It can get esoteric if you don't understand accounting, but that doesn't detract from the story.

No romance, btw! Pure fun!

I want to give this show an extra bonus star. This is one of those shows where I was pulled in all the way the ENTIRE time. I did not lose interest by even an inch! I was watching other shows and losing interest when I finally gave this one a chance. By "finally" I mean that I was scared to begin an intense and serious show of this genre.

I'm glad I did. I def see myself re-watching this in the future.

It is not for the faint of heart. I have PTSD from an abusive childhood. This show has been very triggering. I actually considered stopping myself from finishing the show as a form of self-care.
Well... damn, my intrigue outweighed my self-care.

The only, real weakness I can identify with is the female co-detective's backstory.
Her backstory was literally introduced in episodes 31 and 32. WTF.
It was like the writers thought "oh! we forgot about the detective's side story...let's fit her background in two minutes." Honestly, it was unnecessary and crude.
They should have (1) shown a scene where the detective shows extreme empathy and later explains the origins of why her reaction was triggered, or (2) dialed down the backstory-related characters' actions and treated the detective with respect and dignity.

Go in with a box of tissues for each episode.

It takes commitment and patience to watch and finish this story.

My complaint is moreso technical: it's about the passage of time. From what I understand, time on earth is SLOWER than time in Heaven. Which is really, really weird. I'm still confused about those logisitics. Like, with the thousands of years that passed in heaven, there should've been flying cars and residential spaceships in neighborhoods.

First three to four episodes are slow.
Lots of historical background. It took many months for me to return to this show because I stopped at like episode 4 or 5. That's a lot of investment (each episode is 1+ hour), but I gave up because of the pace. The romance was attempted, but it wasn't there between the two leads. There was no chemistry between them. Great actors who act well, but no spark.

I only stayed for the bromance. It's bromance show.

And a commercial. This show has the most advertisement I've ever seen. Probably has the amount I've seen in my entire life.

The age gap between the leads though was too uncomfortable. Make the dude a 1,000 year old God at least in the body of someone who looks 25 or 30 instead of 40! The girl is in high school for God's sake. It seems too predatory with a 40 year old dude waiting for her finish high school.

It would've been a 9/10 for me but I fast forwarded A LOT of, what I like to call, "empty space." It's when there's 2-4 minutes of silent pontification, a flashback of what literally JUST happened, or the same, re-occurring flashback.

The empty space didn't take away from the story.

Oh yeah: this is truly a narrative. There aren't apprehensive, what-if, tense moments of wonder. It's a straight-to-the-point drama that revolves around the subject of loss. It's ostensibly tragic and a very grounding experience. It's a dramatic story but stays away from being a melodrama.

I'm an emotional creature and had to deliberately try not to cry. The main girl got on my nerves sometimes, but just a little bit.

Lastly, the lessons in this story are truly humbling.

avoid. do not watch.

This was a tangled up mess. There were two huge tangles. The mystery revolving around the dude’s hatred and vengeance was weaker than an egg shell. You find out very close to the end and it’s like “ARE YOU F//CKING KIDDING ME??!”
And the main girl....wtf. YOU WERE BEING BLACKMAILED AND THREATENED AND COERCED.

WEre it not for those two tangles, this show would deserve its 8.0 rating

I wasted my time and I hate wasting my time.

if it weren't so damn over-the-top with emotions, it'd be a good drama. but the female lead's character was too emotional and should not have been a judge at all. If the melodramatics were omitted, I'd give this drama an 8, actually. Good writing and the legal cases are compelling and relevant, but again, the emotional part of the lead was too much and made me sick of her.

The acting of the other two leads was alright. The older actor--I always enjoy him! I like the characters that he plays in dramas.
The young lead's acting is alright. Not bad, not good. Decent.
