I think he made a little more sense than Lin Bu Yi because before episode 17, he thought he wouldn’t be cured of the poison in him. So he went hard on revenging his family. Then the doctor said he can develop an antidote but then got killed. Falling in love in the middle of all this was something YZJ never expected.

Ok I looked at it again. It looks like the villain was shooting from the left of Duanwu, then Yan (from the right) shot to intercept the villian’s arrow with his arrow (which it did) but at the same time the force of the villain’s arrow made Yan’s arrow bounce back and that’s when it went through Duanwu’s shoulder. Seriously I sound like I’m a CSI agent lmao

yes! and the fact that they were able infiltrat and captured Duanwu, they knew who had the blood pearl (maybe he was getting close to shrimp to get this info) and they were able to dress up like the convoy!

I think with shrimp yelling “the convoy is trying to kill us!” and then her seeing YZJ holding the arrow (pointed at her) after she got shot it’s easy to misunderstand. I don’t think it will take her long to figure it out though. They’ve been through so much and she’s very quick to catch on.
