Well I watched Idol Producer and I loved how the staff didn't evil edit them. Everything was so peaceful. But then the debut team was full of rappers and dancers. What??? I listened to their songs and wow it made me dizzy with endless rap and auto tunes.

First, the staff literally copy pasted pd101. They should've make the mentors to give points to the trainees. Also the trainees should be given the authority to vote among themselves. For example, vocal and rap teams vote for dance teams, or vote for TXT teams. Just like Stage Fighter and Peak Time. Taking away 70k votes from the losing team? That's the same with killing them!

Second, the staff have been steering the show into the wrong direction. They keep promoting visuals as if it is the only necessary point to be an idol. Look at the current top 7. Not a single main vocalist! Even the talented rappers and vocalists got eliminated! If this keeps going on, the debut team won't survive against ZB1, Enhypen or even JO1.

I wish people would stop glorifying visuals over talents. Yes I know the beauty standard is harsh, but even ugly people (like me) can glow up with makeup and growth. As long as they have talents, they will be the coolest.

The novel isn't hilarious, but it has comedy on the first half bcos their relationship is growing. She is cunning, pretentious, and good at coaxing, while he is a tsundere, sensitive and a jealous person. The dynamic between them is interesting.

They even changed it from female pov to male pov. The novel has a lot of bed scenes and the FL is raped twice by ML, although she doesn't mind.

In the novel there is no other couple nor SFL. So they created secondary couple and made Meng Zhenzhen as the SFL in the drama.

Shen Zaiye also schemed to get his chosen man to inherit the throne by killing the emperor and other princes. His identity and the man he chose is very shocking and only Jiang Taohua knows after connecting the clues.

The rumored English title is The Princess's Gambit, but wetv posted the title is Peach Blossoms on The Territory. This is better. The title should have Peach Blossoms in it bcos the FL is peach blossom.

The novel has a happy ending. The first half of the novel has a lot of comedy, while the latter half is heartbreaking and sad. The interactions between the couple is unique, like frenemies. She offers to help him with his plans, so they become a scheming married couple.
For ML's character, he is a tsundere, so he doesn't want to admit he loves FL, but what he does is the opposite.

Like I have been saying below, the drama seems to be 80% different from the novel bcos there are 5 novel characters don't exist, while there are original characters in the drama. There are too many changes. I just hope at least the drama has HE.

Pretty sure they changed 80% of the novel plot bcos 5 characters (excl the concubines) from the novel don't exist in the drama and they added original characters in the drama. Meng Zhenzhen became the SFL, Yang Wanqing seems to be Empress Lu's minion instead of being Taohua's helper.
