It's not "pet name",it is "courtesy name". In the novel, Song Mo and Song Han have another nicknames from their parents.

In the drama you will notice the men have 2 names: birth name and courtesy name.
Courtesy name is an additional name bestowed upon individuals at adulthood, complementing their given name. It is a marker of adulthood and were historically given to men at the age of 20, and sometimes to women upon marriage.

Bcos this is NOT a reincarnation drama. This is a drama where the FL gets back to where she was a kid. She is given a second chance to change her destiny and prevent the same mistakes to happen.

The drama/novel isn't about revenge. It focuses more on how the main couple overcome many hardships and become stronger. Dou Zhao doesn't want revenge, she wants to bring justice to the villains. She also tries hard to prevent Song Mo commits the same mistake from the past life. The drama also shows the struggles of the women in ancient times. How they survive and live under the norm and rules. Idk what kind of "revenge" do you like, but this is not the "kill them all" type of revenge. This is the "gather evidence and let the laws do their job" type of revenge.

Ansu is granted princess status. So Song Han became prince consort. They will have their own residence after this, but not in the palace. It is just for a while they live in Song Mo's place. Fyi, princess who gets married will be given residence outside the palace.

Tbh it was quite pleasing. He had been pampered and served by servants bcos of his status. Then when he got exiled, he had no clothes on his body! Almost naked! He got beaten by commoners who know he was the second son of Duke Ying 😆

Idk either why they didn't follow the novel, but it is still good. It was easier for Song Mo to be Duke of Ying. On the novel, Dou Zhao has a son and it infuriates Song Yichun bcos her son will inherit the title after Song Mo.

For Dou Ming, call me evil, but I don't feel pity for her in the drama. It was her own choice and naivety. Being so stupid and living in a bubble of romantic storybook. Her mother and Dou Zhao warned her numerous times. So it was her own fault. At least Ansu is more clearheaded.

No, you misunderstood. After Dou Shiying punished Wang Yingxue, his brothers urges him to remarry, for the third time so someone can take care of him and perhaps has a son. He refuses. He ends up adopting the Sixth Uncle's son, the youngest one is really close to Dou Zhao as they grew up together. While Dou Shishu, the fifth uncle, has a wife and sons.

May I interrupt? I want to clarify something.

I don't watch LLTG, so I won't say anything about it.

It is a pity Blossom didn't showcase it well. However Dou Zhao in the first lifetime was ALREADY smart. She was this capable, intelligent, independent, steady and mature woman. Her husband was completely incompetentand useless, he couldn't manage his own affairs and didn't know how the court works. So it was Dou Zhao who handled ALL his affairs: from establishing connections with the nobles, managing household, holding banquets, etc. She was THAT capable to the point she ignored her own health, even suffered miscarriage. She became ill due to overwork.

So it is not "she became smart in the second lifetime". No. She became a self reliant woman who fights for her own freedom and establish her own foothold. She regretted for being virtuous and obedient woman and ended up marrying the wrong man. That's why she said what she said in ep 1 when she died. Rather than saying she became smart in the second lifetime, it should be "she became a woman who can say NO and choose her own path."

Dou Zhao isn't a revenge driven person. She won't touch someone unless they touch her first. The drama focuses on how she fights to live in peace and protects the people she cares. She rather exposes the bad guys and punish them according to laws.

I said this in my previous comment. Idk why some people compare Blossom with other dramas when they are different. Just like comparing apple with orange. Unless it is a remake drama.

I want people to enjoy a drama without comparing, wanting to get the same plot or characters with their fave drama.

Last, as I said, if you are not feeling Blossom, might as well drop it. Perhaps one day, when you decide to pick it up again, you are able to enjoy it.

Brief explanation about Dou family.

Dou family is a large family and they are divided into West Dou and East Dou branches. They have numerous sons with only a few daughters. Fifth and Sixth uncles are from East branch, while Seventh master is from West branch. Dou Zhao is the fourth daughter from West branch. The seventh master, Dou Shiying, doesn't have a son. So his brothers advice him to remarry or adopt one of their sons.

Novel ending:
They are married for 3 years. They have a son and Dou Zhao is pregnant with their second child.

For the villains ending:
Song Yichun is bedridden and can no longer speak after his neck got bitten to bleed by Song Han.

Song Han got expelled from family registry, bit Song Yichun's neck, got exiled by the crown prince. Ansu also divorced him.

Prince Qing returned to Liaodong and lost his power.

Empress Wan commited suicide bcos she refused to surrender under crown prince.

Eunuch Wang Ge died.

Wang Yingxue was forced to return to her family. Unlike in the drama, she was locked in her room since Dou Zhao was young to prevent her harming Dou Zhao.

Dou Ming drugged Wei Tingyu's mistress to suffer miscarriage. Dou Ming is the reason Wei Tingyu gets scared and secretly begs for money from friends to raise another mistress and child in her belly outside his house. On the novel, Dou Ming is the exact copy of Wang Yingxue.

Ep 25-26 will explain everything. Also ep 30 or 31.

At least Song Han died in the drama. On the novel, he was exiled after committing another crime: biting Song Yichun's neck until he can no longer speak. Song Yichun expelled Song Han from family registry, then the crown prince exiled him. Good job!

Bcos this drama is called Blossom, not LLTG, not The Double, not SOKP. Idk why some people compared Blossom with those dramas where they are completely different.

If you don't like after watching 2 eps, drop it. Don't force yourself just bcos other people love it. I always do. I immediately drop a drama after watching 2-3 eps if I'm not feeling it. Don't be influenced by the hype. It has to come from your heart.

Honestly. I totally forgot almost the whole trainees on groove team except Kim Juhyung, Kyungho, Bae Jaeho, Kijoong and Seo Jungwoo. Only after ep 5 I knew the names of other trainees on groove, excluding the new ones. Even on beat team, I only knew Woongki and Kairi 🙄

When they showed the ranking by online votes, I thought the system is the same with other shows. But then the mentors themselves said their team must win for them to debut. 🤔 did I miss something or they haven't explained the system?
