Also i already shared something i remembered on the comment below that the poison will most likely be cured bcos Song Mo is seen having a picnic with Dou Zhao in her older woman setup, both wearing light blue hanfu.

He helps subduing the rebels bcos he works for crown prince, although he still has the time to mock Song Mo 😅

No way! All the couples, except Song Han and Miao Ansu are happily married, including Gu Yu. Reading the novel made me smile 🤭

Song Han is indeed one of the villains on the novel too. He knew his father poisoned Madam Jiang, so he helped poisoned her too after he found out she is not his mother. He wanted to be this good brother of Song Mo. What he did on the novel is really cruel, disgusting and he is a total jerk, just like his father. That's why Miao Ansu begged Dou Zhao to help her get divorce.

There is a scene where ZhaoMo, wearing the same light blue hanfu, are having a picnic in a field. Dou Zhao has the extra low bun. From what I understand, this low bun is for women who are not young anymore, after they reach their 30s. Just like Dou Zhao on ep 1 where it is said she married Wei Tingyu for 10 years? Also Wang Yingxue and Wei Tingzhen also have low bun. So that means this scene will happen years later after they have kids! 🤔

Suddenly I remembered something.

He is more annoying on the novel. He doesn't care about other people except himself and Dou Zhao. He can harm and hurt people with smile and proud on his face. Once he even sold Dou Ming onto human traffickers! She is traumatized and scared of Ji Yong since then. He did dirty things to make Wei Tingyu and Dou Zhao cancel their marriage and he showed no remorse when Dou Zhao scolded him. They are still friends, but Dou Zhao treats him a bit coldly. Ji Yong cares for her until the end, and hates Song Mo even after years.
Tbh the drama toned down his cruelty a lot.

I have read the novel 3 times bcos it is so good and has happier atmosphere. I don't read the first 65 or so chapters though. I like the novel bcos:
1. The villains get different punishments.
2. Everyone has their own love lines and happily married as well.
3. A lot of good people, with only a few villains.
4. Everything is described in details.

There is Jiang family,which is a family famous for their meritorious deeds to the country. Jiang Meisun is Duke Ding. Duke Ding and Jiang Huisun are siblings. Jiang Huisun married Duke Ying, Song Yichun. They have a son, Song Mo.

Song Yichun hates Jiang family for their merits, power and influence, especially bcos Duke Ding is the emperor's old friend. That's why he hates Madam Jiang, his wife.

Song Yichun has a lover. When Madam Jiang was pregnant with the SECOND child, his lover was also pregnant. Song Yichun then swapped their children. So, Song Han is his mistress's son. While Madam Jiang gave birth to a daughter. This daughter's fate is unknown.

On the novel, the daughter is raised by the mistress, but gets abused, sold and raped. Dou Zhao told Song Mo he has a sister. So he ordered Chen Jia to save her. She then given a new name, Jiang Yan, and lives in Song Mo's mansion.

Tbh I don't even know if Jiang Yan will appear bcos she is not on the cast list. Also, she is supposed to marry Chen Jia, however in the drama, Chen Jia has a love line with Zhao Zhangru, Dou Zhao's cousin.

I even wondered if the mother and son who are saved by Song Mo from the bandits, saying they are looking for her daughter, is related to Song Mo's sister. Could it be that Su Yan is actually Song Mo's sister? I prefer not...

Eunuch Wang Ge, Song Yichun (Song Mo's father), Dou Shishu (Dou Zhao's fifth uncle), Su Yan (a female official works for the empress).

In one scene, Ansu is seen crying over his dead body...

I don't read the novel. Once I found out the novel is 900+ chapters long and 15 girls for 1 man, I gave up 😅

For sure, the drama and novel are different.

First, on the novel, ML married the big sister. She died, then he married her little sister.

Song Yichun HATES the Jiang family and his wife. He had a lover, but was forced to marry Madam Jiang by the previous Duke Ying. The previous Duke Ying thought Song Yichun is incompetent and useless, so he planned to pass his title to Song Mo.

Song Mo has been excellent literary and military, he is fast in learning, smart, outstanding child. He is greatly favored by the emperor. His uncles helped raised and trained him. Song Yichun is jealous of Song Mo and afraid people would support him. That's why he keeps trying to tarnish Song Mo's reputation and eventually kicks him out of family registry. He wants to pass the title to Song Han bcos he can be controlled, unlike Song Mo, whom he calls rebellious, evil, unfilial. Song Yichun NEVER cares about his sons. He only cares more his reputation, and title.
