I started this kdrama purely out of curiosity. I wanted to see how Kim Jae Yeong would handle a different role after completely grabbing my attention in Idol I. The plot itself? Definitely not my usual cup of tea. But somehow, thanks to the charm of the main leads, I still found myself enjoying the ride and sticking around until the very end. Guess charisma really can carry a story.
What the heck?! Hou Ming Hao has done it again! Dragging me into another drama I absolutely do not have time to watch. He’s still not my type, and somehow, he has a vice grip on my attention. Make it make sense. Against all logic, he keeps pulling me in, scene after scene. Honestly? Well played, sir. Very well played.
Hou Ming Hao is definitely not my usual type and yet… here I am, completely undone! His acting alone earns him a ridiculous amount of bonus points. I honestly can’t explain what short-circuit happens in my brain every time he shows up on screen! It’s confusion, admiration, and emotional damage all at once. This is already the second drama I’ve watched purely because he’s the male lead, and at this point, I’m starting to question my own standards (and sanity).
I didn't expect this drama to be so good! Personally, I understand both characters, but my heart breaks every time I watch ML struggle with his fate, totally alone! 🥺
I don’t think it’s that, but more that he knows how Seong Jae’s family is and they will make her life hell…
If Seong Jae marries Su Bin, Ko Seong Hui would be consistently on the edge. She knows that it would increase the likelihood of uncovering the fact that she abandoned Ji Eun O and hid the truth that she has a daughter from her husband. She knows that if her secret is revealed, her husband will divorce her.
‘My Dearest’ didn’t take my attention... It snatched it without consent. I binged it in two days and came out emotionally exhausted: crying one minute, wildly curious the next, and furious more often than I’d like to admit. Beautifully done, deeply rude to my feelings.
A masterpiece! Proof that my timing is terrible, but my taste is elite. The ML didn’t ease into the role. He grabbed my attention by the collar with that voice, and his acting sealed the deal. He had me locked in immediately.
Episode 8 done! My first Korean reality show and I’m hooked. However, giving a second chance to an ex? Absolutely not. I don’t revisit history. I prefer making new stories.
Me: “I’ll just watch one episode.” Also me, 4 hours later: “Who even needs romance when you’ve got THIS chaos?” This show really said ‘main character energy!’
