Women didn’t have much power at that time (honestly, still don’t have enough power nowadays). Husband was the law. She was raised to be a dutiful wife. Add that her husband never loved her and only married her for money and then Flaunted his affairs in her face, she’s quite tragic. Though it’s also very sad she felt such despair that she end like that- a man isn’t worth it 😒

Do you mean Moonlight Mystique and The Last Immortal? I’ve only watched around 9 of MM and around 18 of TLI but they don’t mention Bai Jue or Shanggu expect maybe there’s a reference to them at the beginning of TLI which focuses on Yuanqi. MM is about Yue Mi and Tianqi but they have different names. I only made the connection to ALP because they mention the purple moon. Though the voice actor for Bai Jue does the ML voice in MM 😅

I think that’s putting it in very black and white terms which is kinda the opposite of how the drama presents the characters

He’s a beauty in that drama. There are similar vibes imo to those 2 dramas like being raised by the grandma, terrible father, strong FL that kinda thing 🙂

Kai got good reviews for his performance. Why is it less than 8? Because people didn’t like the mother? Because there’s not enough romance? People down rate for the dumb things. It’s a solid story with good acting. Same with Royal Feast, it has low rating but the drama is actually very good, read the comments section and people also question why the low rating? It should be higher. It’s no less than other Yu Zheng drama for intrigue. (Yanxi, Double, Glory) 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Can only assume international fans only like fluffy, dumbed down dramas. If Kai could harness the power of his haters, he’d be unstoppable 😎
