I have followed him for 2 years and learnt quite a bit about him 😊 I have watched most of his dramas and consider him as a good actor with depth and range. He is already well known as the green flag CEO for many contemporary and modern romcoms. He is getting wider recognition for other roles as well in the last couple of years. He's already played high-and-mighty cowards, rapists/abusers, and totally unstable volatile villains. He himself really doesn't care about the backlash for his roles playing bad guys. He said in an interview that he prefers serious and complex roles and works hard to improve his craft and avoids getting stuck playing only one type of role. His two upcoming dramas are very different from his other roles and so is the one that he is currently filming, all with high production value. His background outside of acting adds to his charm and makes him relatable. After getting through civil service exams and having a stable job in the elite sector, which I believe is highly competitive and almost a dream which many can't achieve, he quit this ideal world to pursue his dream for acting with zero connections and experience at age 27! And he is making it slowly step by step without shortcuts. He was also a pop idol singer and Latin dance provincial champion before focusing fully on his television career. Now, alongside his TV career, he is pursuing his passion for music through his songs, having already released his first album last year and working on his second album presently 🎵 He has a calm, mature, and polite demeanor on and off set.He commands immense respect from peers across the Chinese entertainment industry, with dozens of top celebrities voluntarily showing up online to support his drama launches. I don't mind if there is no romance plot and if female lead centred. Miles role should be important, prominent and with significant screen time showcasing his acting and martial art skills. I looked up the novel using its Chinese title. It is highly popular with several reviewers rating it over 9 with even the critics giving around 7-8.

However, the further I read, the more I realized that all his innate sense of superiority actually became his Achilles' heel. Throughout the story, Zheng Xi appears more like a political animal, everything revolving around politics. Even if he knew Zhu Ying was a woman, he wouldn't fall in love with her; even if he had feelings for her, he wouldn't marry her. Refined self-interest, aloof and superior. Such a person, therefore, ultimately met his end with a court report announcing his peaceful death. As I write this, I suddenly realize that the people Zhu Ying knew were dying one after another, but the degree of their relationship varied.."
From what I read, this kind of female centric, historical political stories with no romance plot are rare and highly anticipated by netizens if made into a drama. If the scriptwriters get it right and with good direction this could be a potential epic!
