πS+ historical drama with political intrigue "Zhu Gu Niang" will star Chen Lijun and πWei Zheming.Platform:…
I don't mind if there is no romance plot and if female lead centred. Miles role should be important, prominent and with significant screen time showcasing his acting and martial art skills. I looked up the novel using its Chinese title. It is highly popular with several reviewers rating it over 9 with even the critics giving around 7-8.
I'm sharing this review from Douban as I thought it was very comprehensive.
Just a heads up about Miles's character which I copied from this review. I think this is a role which he can fit perfectly!
"(2) Zheng Xi: "He doesn't care about what he doesn't care about, this is called 'quiet inaction'""Zheng Xi really has the makings of a male protagonist: noble birth, exceptionally intelligent, handsome, and a mentor to Zhu Ying. Even his name contains the character 'Xi,' which initially led me to believe he was similar to Gu Yun, Gu Zixi. However, the further I read, the more I realized that all his innate sense of superiority actually became his Achilles' heel. His noble birth meant he never held a position of power or influence, naturally aligning him with the elites of the capital. The concept of hierarchy was ingrained in his very being. The reason he wasn't as obnoxious as Xian Jing and his gang of brats in the book is because he was so high up in the hierarchy that he felt indifferent to everything." Before Zheng Xi's appearance, the author spent a long time building up the story through his travels. When he finally appeared, he was indeed a brilliant and charismatic figure, exuding authority without anger. He was the youngest Minister of the Court of Judicial Review (it's noticeable that the author quite liked describing Zheng Xi's appearance; he was a handsome man in his youth and a handsome old man in his later years), dressed in a red robe, full of vigor and ambition. He was Zhu Ying's first mentor in the workplace, and their early interactions were quite endearing. Zheng Xi even gave Zhu Ying her given name and courtesy name. When Zhu Ying went to court, Zheng Xi personally presented her with her court tablet. He even playfully pinched Zhu Ying's cheek. Then, suddenly, Zheng Xi had an eldest son. Looking back, Zheng Xi truly raised Zhu Ying as a sonβa lively, intelligent, and endearing child. He had no romantic feelings for Zhu Ying. Throughout the story, Zheng Xi appears more like a political animal, everything revolving around politics. Even if he knew Zhu Ying was a woman, he wouldn't fall in love with her; even if he had feelings for her, he wouldn't marry her. Refined self-interest, aloof and superior. Such a person, therefore, ultimately met his end with a court report announcing his peaceful death. As I write this, I suddenly realize that the people Zhu Ying knew were dying one after another, but the degree of their relationship varied.."
From what I read, this kind of female centric, historical political stories with no romance plot are rare and highly anticipated by netizens if made into a drama. If the scriptwriters get it right and with good direction this could be a potential epic!
Miles arrived at Chang Sa for hi6 filming. Report from a fan on site, airport scene was chaotic and an absolutely…
Good grief! What happened to these fans!! Poor guy seems shocked! Getting that close to take pictures and videos is so terrifying and disrespectful. His fans used to stand in an orderly way during Feng Buqi shooting and wrap fan meet. Very unlike usual Miles Wei fans. He is still very patient! Hope he gets a breather..bless him!!
Miles's August schedule released by his studio3/8 Business photoshoot 4-9/8 New album recording 10/8 Variety show…
I guess he is keeping the later half of the month for BTTC drama promotions if as rumoured it is airing on 27th. Is Liu Xiening coming to Hi6? What is the business photoshoot? As always, looking forward to his new songs π΅ π΅ π΅
It is all about the female protagonist and her sister.. Not sure what the male protagonist role is. Only a brief mention in the comments, sounding more like moral support in bad times/times of need π³
That dorm is a very cozy place to chill π To see our sweet guy relaxed and happy is something I like to watch.…
You are not only one. I couldn't understand some of the jokes either. I was happy enough to see Miles happy and enjoying himself. I think there is an 'extra' episode out now without subs.
That's pathetic! Did you notice that his other drama Love beyond the grave too dropped in rating from 8.2 to 8.1…
No I didnβt. Omg!!! So one bus load of people here and a double decker bus there π³π Both aired at the same time in March Ah well no words really..
Overnight the rating has dropped from 7.9 to 7.8. A sudden influx of 1- star rating will immediately influence the math behind the average score. A group of people have reviewed/rated the drama giving it the lowest possible score of 1/10 overnight for this to happen!
Scenario 1: Dropping the absolute average from 7.9 to exactly 7.80 If MDL displays strict mathematical averages without standard decimal rounding, new reviewers would need to pull the score all the way down to 7.80 43 people are needed if they all rate it a 1/10
Scenario 2: Dropping the average enough to round down (7.84) If MDL rounds to the nearest single decimal. To make the visible score change from 7.9 to 7.8, the actual average only needs to dip just below 7.85 (to 7.84) 26 people are needed if they all rate it a 1/10.
Scenario 3: Unlikely! If new viewers rate it a 7/10: β’ To drop to exactly 7.8/10: It will take 360 people!
Less new people would be needed to rate it 6,5,4 and so on to drop it to 7.8
How the Math Works 1. Current Total Points: 2,880 people x 7.9 average = 22,752 points .2. The Target Formula: 22.752+( NxNew Score)Γ·2,880+N = Target Rating
3. If N people give the lowest possible score of 1, the formula to drop the visible score to a rounded 7.8 is: 22,752 + 1N Γ·2,880 + N= 7.8
PS: The number of people who have rated the drama from last night to this morning has increased only by tens not by hundreds which indicates that this is a deliberate attempt by some people to rate the drama down with collective 1 star rating.

In my part of the world, olive oil is a dietary staple used extensively in all kinds of cooking π©βπ³
Not much as a standalone beverage or drink.
