You don't have to be so aggressive, lol. I think its mostly the second half, which obviously was extremely dragged…
Now you are not replying to me but they literally spent at least 6 hours only to take down "the evil chairman", which even is such a cliche plot in korean dramas. I would say that they dragged the plot as well.
they don't like it. apple tv is not even officially streaming it in japan, which jpn netizens claim is in order…
"Look it up yourself?" I am half japanese half korean and live in Japan, and follow everything related to the series in japanese media and on their rating sites, the japanese imdb etc. "Acceptance of war crimes" is just politics at this point.
People are expecting a 20 hour long slice of life to peak after 4-5 episodes...? It is all going to come together in the most heartwarming way ever and we will all be crying together, im calling it already.
I was actually looking forward to this because, while not always great, Noh Hee Kyung´s dramas are always interesting.…
People are rating it low because it has Shin min ha in a tropical setting, and isnt a fluffy romcom like chacha. Noh Hee Kyung's dramas are more or less almost always 10/10s.
I try to watch all new korean dramas so this is like a jackpot for me = easy to skip. I more or less hate Hwang Jung Eum for her screaming and hysterical overacting, and Uhm Ki Joon is just OK for me, so an easy skip.

Stop spreading BS, it is on apple tv Japan and many japanese are enjoying it you can read many positive reviews on their rating sites. Some of you people need to learn that japanese people are completely normal people, just like anyone else. Especially young japanese are more or less worshipping everything korean today. War creates bad men whether its Japan, Germany or the US. The bad men who did bad things are dead today.
Otherwise Pachinko is kind of missing the mark for me. Something feels off, it must be because its made by americans.
I agree that its way too dragged out. I am not even sure if these 16 hours would be interesting enough if they were cut into a standard lenght movie, lol. But the biggest problem I had was the main couple and their lack of chemistry and energy. More than lovers they felt like siblings. They even kind of actually look like they could be brother and sister IRL.
I think it was quite visible that Min Chae's dad is not Beak Yi jin, they showed it a lot of times in the show....…
I feel bad for Heedo's husband and their kid, Heedo is obsessed with Yi Jin. Drives a red car, names her place 2125 etc, she is stuck in the past of her first love. Even when she and her husband "made" their daughter, she was probably thinking and dreaming about Yi Jin...
Can kids watch it? Is it scary?

You are such a fucking tool.
