I don't get it why MDL divided Death Game into 2 parts, the drama has only 8 episodes lol. I always considered it as started in 2023 and ended in 2024. So, if I make another article like this in 2025 for the top 2024s, we'll see if Death's Game will manage to make it to the top next year, either by country or by genre. The year is still young.

No. As I wrote in the introduction, the results are based on what majority of MDLers rated. If my likes/opinion, they're all would be dramas I watched. I just ran the advanced search on MDL using advanced filter. You can do it too: Explore > Top Shows > and on the right column there are several filters for Advanced Search.

I agree with you, cos every time I watch this drama I got a headache, literally. Not about her acting or being freaked out, but that many unknown thrown to us to think about.

Dunno, it's in the genre. I also watched SOKP and I agreed SOKP is more political than AJTL. I noticed that after ended, AJTL's rating had fluctuated between 8.7 and 8.8. The rating of 8.8 was recorded in the end of the year 2023. I gotta stopped recording somewhere, right?. So the rating in this article is not wrong.

If you dislike spoilers, better avoid the drama's comment sections, lol. Especially right after it ended (unless you wanna know the ending). After became a watcher who watches currently airing dramas, people were very enthusiastic with every episode aired so forgot to click that spoiler button. I could say I was also guilty for it, lol.

Tales of the Nine Tail 1938 has Korean mountain spirits, Japanese yokai, and zombies, that's why it's considered horror. But it's a horror comedy IMO. If you like psych horror, A Bloody Lucky Day is a good pick. No ghosts but the drama creeped me out when watching it every week very early in the morning (I think it came out at midnight or 1am at my place).

I also watched The Killing Vote while it was airing once a week, lol. Liking the uniqueness. Vigilante has the same vibe (fighting social injustice) tho simpler.

Revenant is actually the second after Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 in top horror drama. I watched TOTNT38 and I only remembered the funny scenes, lol.

I think some dramas don't have subs or good subs (AI translated) cos the platforms don't bother to sub them (not profitable). Some clearly show low budget (ex. bad costume) or low production (ex. bad editing). Viewers think some plots are cheesy/low quality.

Yeah, usually short-length series don't get high ratings. Although they're included with the full length dramas, but you must use 'Short Length Series' tag to find the top ones.

Zhao Yi Qin's short drama Butterflied Lover is considered one of the top short-length series in 2023 on MDL (rating 8.2/10, higher than Provoke). I also enjoy his currently airing short drama Hidden Marriage.
