It's common for Chinese short-length series (< 20 minutes) to get rating below 8.0 on MDL because people unfairly compare them with the regular-length Chinese dramas that have way bigger budget, thus can hire top actors, better screenwriters/directors, spend more in visuals and promo. But if you depend on MDL rating to watch dramas, you might overlook many hidden gems...
