#3... China... historical... fantasy... fleshed out characters... after checking your PTW list, I think you can try either The Untamed or Love Between Fairy and Devil. Beware tho, The Untamed is 50 episodes and has a bunch of characters from different sects. Watch it when you have a long period of spare time (during vacation or something like that). So you won't forget the story line and the characters. LBFAD has fewer episodes (36) and fewer characters, you can watch it without forgetting the story line or the characters, imo. I co-wrote an article recapping the drama. Just browse through looking at the pictures without reading it thoroughly since the article contains spoilers. But you will get an idea about what a Chinese historical fantasy or xianxia looks like. Both dramas have main characters who can reflect the nature of the human.

Yes, it's a 2021 drama but ends in 2022. As per 31 Dec it was still 8.4 but I peeked just now it went up 8.5. Yeah, it should be there together with Bad Buddy, Not Me, and Cave Rescue. Thanks for checking!
