I loved this drama. Tho I'm a huge PSJ fan, I have to say She Was Pretty is my favorite. However, I did love the…
Since I have never seen her in another drama, I could say she nailed the role!

I do know what 'cute as a button' phrase mean... but who is George? My goodness, you have some similarities with…
ok now I know who George is... :)

There is no Kdrama with title Meteor Garden. Are you referring to Boys over Flowers? If that one, no wonder you couldn't make it past the first episode! People complained about that drama, it's regarded as the worst of the franchise of Hana Yori Dango (Japanese manga from where the dramas are adapted from). To me it's okay since it's one of the first dramas I watched they usually have a special place in our heart, lol. Meteor Garden is long, as usual Cdrama drags and lots of PPL. But there I got to know the F4 boys (in the insert picture of Darren Chen), I follow their works though I don't watch if not interested. Darren Chen is like a fluffy teddy bear there!

For any supernatural/fantasy/scifi Cdramas, Chinese censorship always messes up with every of them! I wish Taiwan makes good supernatural/fantasy/scifi dramas (like SOOD for example), then they can compete well with Chinese dramas!

Since now you said it, I think I agree Ji Chong is the most manly of any Xiao Zhan's characters, though the one from Douluo Continent is not that bad either. But of course no facial hair. That was because the Taiwanese director of The Wolf told XZ that Ji Chong is a rough hunter guy so XZ grew his facial hair lol. But I don't remember the long legs part. Please enlighten me ;D

Thanks for the video clip on the butterfly. It brings back my memory watching that drama. Without all the cuts from the censorship it should've been a 9 rated drama instead of 8.1

Nice article! (I do kinda wish Traditional characters had been used to write all of their Chinese names, since…
OMG... apology from an ignorant foreigner like me, I didn't know that is the case!!! When I was writing this article, I chose the 'native name' instead of the 'also known as' from their MDL bio! Have I known traditional hanzi is used in Taiwan instead of simplified hanzi, I would have use it instead!
Yeah you're right, this list is who are most popular on MDL, as China produces a lot more dramas than Taiwan lately, automatically Taiwanese actors who played in Chinese dramas/movies get more popularity.
Does Vic Chou play in Taiwanese dramas only? I think Jerry Yan recharged his popularity by playing in newer Chinese dramas.
Chris Wu... I'm watching him in Inborn Pair right now, tackling the most episode in my PTW (84). Saw him first in Autumn Concerto. Yeah, I wish he got more popularity his acting is very good!

I can't watch this! I loved the second male lead so so much in the original and I had zero feelings about that…
sorry to hear that... If you love Akaso Eiji, no don't watch it... seriously...

What's the difference between the book and the original drama? Why drama fans may not like it?
ok I found the WeTV Philippines teaser trailer in Youtube (it's English subbed unlike the Chinese one), yeah you're right with the FL's bff and the actor seems show up early too unlike. I will just wait for the comments from the people who will watch first episodes. Duh that last second Lin Yi is such a teaser!

I don't remember GYW likes STM since Ep 1 in the drama, but I think I should give it a try for New. I mean after writing an article on him I would like to see him but I don't like the noona romance he's in his last drama. Should I give this one a try then. By the way, where is the trailer you're talking about on your original post. It's not on MDL yet

I haven't seen this yet but I have seen the original. I was a huge fan of the original actors and I like the actors…
Give it a try and tell me what you think ;D. It's a good start when you like the J actors (both ML and SML I assume?), but you will fall for the J actress too.

From the trailer it looks like it follows the book and not the Chinese drama. The original drama was very different…

Well... probably it's my fault choosing good looking pictures :)... but isn't this article supposedly to get people…
Yeah when I heard about that I reminded right away I may not be able to watch Chasing the Light I have been waiting for so long. Though the effeminate male actors thing cracked me up tho after I watched AvenueX video

yeah... the only one new NRTA regulation I like is they will foresee the budget first for production companies not to overpay actors instead of using the fund to production cost to improve the quality. So hopefully that means we will get better quality dramas. But like someone mentioned in YT, there is always a way to get around that ;D

who is Kai Ko? has it been a while? I don't remember but I too just started watching Asian dramas in mid 2019
Too bad... but he has 2020/2021 movies does it mean he made a comeback?... are they subbed? Looking for subbed Taiwanese movies are so hard for me I gave up on some of them...

That's more like it... I didn't plan to write the Taiwan article after the last 2 with Japanese and Thai actors. But it's like doing justice to them. I could have written in the Introduction my opinion why Taiwanese actors and actresses don't get much appreciation because they are like second class in Chinese shows due to them being Taiwanese. Mostly get supporting roles only the most popular ones like Mark Chao always get main roles. Or they landed main roles in mediocre dramas with low budget and low promo. But I don't want this article to get political that's why I don't include my thoughts.
