I already have a feeling the dad might die in the end cos he's been coughing and the others told him to take medications. I commented earlier that the dad must be rich enough to hire a film company for his daughter's psych treatment. He probably was an actor in the past since he told his dead wife (who was an actress before) that the couple looked like when they made film before. So, this project is like his final wish.

This drama is like having a twist at the end of every episode, lol!

Unfortunately, even on legitimate Chinese sites like Douban and Baidu, they don't list the actress who played FL in Ep 1. Probably because the actress is a guest role? So no info to add here. I think I saw her somewhere in another Cdrama, tho.

A lot of things in the drama is an irony. The drama focuses on Tung's acting career but in the end, Yi Lu is the one who shines and even goes overseas with her theater group. Also, the last thing he told her "Remember what I told you, even if you have changed, I'll never change." The irony is she changed to be a theater star in the end, but he never changed in his acting career.

I think it's an irony. In Macbeth, Lady Macbeth manipulates her husband to always do what she wants including committing crimes. In this drama, Yi Lu always believes in Tung and does everything for him.

The drama is finished. It's really good. Go watch it!

People here talking about the cringey things in this drama. The cringiest thing for me is seeing Jiu Li frequent Hao Liang's campus wearing a formal suit. At my place, only the university presidents and top academic leaders wear suits every day on campus. The lecturers wear casual clothes. No wonder Hao Liang avoids him at all costs, hahaha.

I don't believe that lady is dead, she's too charismatic...
