I watch daily dramas too but the director is from Marriage & Divorce, even though the drama is based on a webtoon his narrative is a little soapy but still satisfying when the good guys win
i feel like i'm not watching the same thing as everybody else... this drama is barely mid.

Love Love the dynamic of this drama, good team scores, bad team fights back and so on... uri Yi Joo looks so pretty and I love her classy looks and she is deffo in love with Seo Do Guk at this point...OMG can't wait for next week ...it' s getting juicer and juicer
PS: I love how the women in SDG band together to make stepmother and sister fail it is so gratifying

I was going to say that, I read commenters here they were glad she was team Matthew that way MDH was not going to like her anymore, so I thought it was only her, that is why it caught my eye so i went back to finish the drama but honestly in that scenario they all didn't have a choice.

Other thing he did and caught my attention was when he rushed her to the hospital when he hit her, he looked desperate, typical trope in Kdramas when the guy likes the girl.

I remember how So Ming fans were trying to trash GYJ or why they never talk about JSM in part 2 but they needed to focus on the 2nd season success so obviously JSM part was done and they all move on but not some fans lol it would be debatable if they didn't like the 2nd season because of the plot, but not because actress/director/cast they all knew and made a choice to change actress because of last minute old original actress ran away, as I said I liked both actresses so it was like watching a sequel of the original lol sorry lets end it here because this is another page drama lol.
I think this is the weirdest kdrama I ever watched when it comes to plot i cannot understand what kind of narrative they were trying to pull, what was the genre? fantasy, melodrama, revenge, romance, sci-fi, I can name all of genres my head is spinning around with this ridiculous plot, I just finished it because I love to see Lee Joon on my screen he is so handsome and I love his voice , also Im in the minority here since I loveeee Lee Yoo Bi as well, i was kind of shipping them since the beginning Im not gonna lie, so Ill watch 2nd season because I wanna know if the ship sails or sinks, because we know he did have feelings for her since the beginning, I know Monet did so many evil things but in last couple of episodes she made some progress in her character and what she said when getting into the helicopter to Do Hyuk "that she caught feelings for him" and even said Im Sorry, so I might be delulu but it makes me think they were hinting at this couple since the beginning, I would really want her to pay for her wrongdoings and be a mother to her daughter for once, since I think they are hinting to that too, since Hanna went to grandma's restaurant. This is all I wana know about Hanna, Do Hyuk and Monet lol the other ones I just fast forward. Please dont kill me for wanting them to be a couple but the over protection of Do Hyuk to Monet since episode 1 or 2 was noticeable so I see a shipable couple I ship lol.
To be honest what I really enjoyed about this drama was the father-son relationship while growing up and as both teenagers and the gang OMG they were hillarious, tbh Im a sucker for romance I like both couples but for me that was the side plots i was just here to see the son/father growth. Loved it and I love the rating wow 9.2 well deserved!

I think So Ming is an excellent actress, she was great as Mudeok and the whole master teacher thing but for it lacked the chemistry with Jae Wook that's just my opinion and in Part 2 the chemistry was there since the beginning probably because GYJ is 2 years older than JW and same age as the others, while So Ming is like 7-8 years older than the other young cast..... and for some reason and GYJ keep up the same chaotic energy of the Hwanhons like they would go out and bonded in 10 episodes. like fans were just loving it the script reading we had 3 Hwanhons together again Jae Wook, Youn Jung and In Soo for Death with Seo In Guk.
Then you should stop watching after the 10th episode (20th on Viki). That will be your HE.
