I can stand Lu Feng anymore. Drugging him, holding him hostage, trying to rape him and film him. Ughh. I'm sickened. I'm supposed to root for him... yeah not happening even if he begs Yi Chen. Yi Chen also needs a backbone. Open a window/balcony door, throw down some rugs and pillows and jump. Don't act like you can't leave. Dude's not home half the time.
Because he is responsible for 2 women losing their lives. He just has a lot of money and connections to pay his way out of his legal problems. His PR is putting out lies knowing people don't read beyond headlines. They just have to convince people he was cleared of all charges when it is obvious he lied. Lucky for him Korea is really light when it comes to punishing criminals as it is. The only pushback is from people around the world resisting his comeback. The law has failed victims again.

I think it's because a few dramas became really popular recently with such storylines (good looking actors certainly helped) and fans went crazy for them so it might be why Thai actors and directors want to cash in on those tropes. But after a while they're all going to end up looking like the same plot.
I was going to bring up prostitution as well so I'm glad you did. A lot of prostitutes also get raped, beaten and abused in many ways but the police simply ignore them if they ever complain. There is even a theory that serial killers didn't vanish. They simply go after people who society doesn't care about. It would be good to have dramas revolve around this.
If Yi Chen had simply broken his leg, it would be one thing. Paralysis is a bit much. Of course Yi Chen will want nothing to do with Lu Feng. He might as well go back to his life.
Lu Feng is so problematic. What did he think? Shouting at a heart patient will help the situation? He doesn't know how to deal with people but tying up Yi Chen was too much. I expected another rape sequence. Glad I was wrong.

We may disagree here. Based on what was suggested in the pilot, it is taking advantage of someone's desperation. Coerced sexual contact is rape.
TBH I don't care that they want to depict a red/black flag character. That's fair. I just don't think it should be romantised. Especially dubcon type stuff and there's just a lot of it in BLs. You just don't realise it until you start watching.
