Title Double Helix
LOL as soon as I wrote this I saw that Yi Chen tries to pitifully escape. Foolish guy. Why didn't you try this…
Yeah I am sure he's not that weak but it's making me annoyed that he is not fighting back. Have some dignity man.

I donโ€™t want to defend him, and it bothers me that I have to put a disclaimer before saying anything related…
I hear you. My point is that he did everything with intention and people rarely change without making an effort towards change. Yes, he was saying all that because he missed him and is obsessed with him and that is why he will just fall into old habits. That's basically what I meant.

If you recall their first time, he forced himself onto Yi Chen. Then he apologised. Now he is doing that all over again. That's his default. He wants to take control. He can't handle his anger, he can't handle when he feels he is being wronged, he can't think of Yi Chen's happiness, just what makes him feel good. So inevitably he will repeat his actions.

The last episode seemed to suggest a romance development with that string. Am I really wrong? Not that I mind…
I went in this blind as I usually do. I just ask if people are enjoying a drama and start watching. I don't think it's about lowering expectations but correcting them in my case. ๐Ÿ˜„ anyway, thanks for confirming. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Title Double Helix Spoiler
Can you blame LF for lying? The brother did exactly what LF knew he would do. Take YC away. I think itโ€™s pretty…
Thanks for clarifying. I haven't read the novel so I don't know how this will end but people have said it will be a happy ending. I don't know how it can be justified without drastic changes.

Regarding lying, it might seem justifiable in the moment but it leads to trust issues. Again he can ask Yi Chen not to leave him, to give him a chance, to go to therapy so he can deal with his issues, etc. I don't see why Yi Chen should stay when Lu Fend continues to manipulate and lie.

There is one aspect you are forgetting and that is consent.

Lu Feng may have suffered but if Yi Chen doesn't want to be there, he has no right to hold him hostage. He even raped Yi Chen without caring about his mental well being at that time. Just because LF is hurt means he gets to do all that?

Any sane person would think this person doesn't want to be with me anymore, I should be with someone who does care about me. Or "oh I finally found the person I love, maybe this is our chance to make things right again. We should try to talk things out." Not drug him, molest him, possibly he raped him in that drugged state, trap him, play mental games, refuse to accept how his own actions and anger led to the situation they are in. Basically he took 0 accountability. Lu Feng doesn't need Yi Chen, he needs a therapist and jail time.

Instead of thinking about only Lu Feng, think if Yi Chen deserves to be treated like this just because they were once lovers. He had no right to be angry? His mom and brother were hospitalised but did Lu Feng take any sort of responsibility or try to help with their treatement? When he gets mad he ties Yi Chen up because he is stronger. Does Yi Chen deserve to be treated like a rag doll?

Worst thing is that this drama is not even acknowledging the rape.

Forget about these actors and think if you would be able to love or respect someone that raped you against your will? Would you tell your friend or family member to forgive their rapist and be with them because their rapist is obsessed with them? I really hope your answer is no.

Definitely avoid this one. There are some good BLs out there even if you like the red flag trope. Or just green…
Seems Wu might be a bromance possibly. So far there is no romance. Other BLs that I liked are The Time Of Fever, Secret Relationships, Be My Favourite, The Boy Next World: My Destiny, 4 Minutes, Sammy's Children's Day.

Okay weirdo who doesn't know how to talk with decency. The direction it is going makes it look like a BL.

People who were talking about the NC scene being hot, I don't know if you realise, this was rape. Yi Chen was trying to kill himself moments earlier.

Well, after reading the comments about this drama... tried to avoid the spoilers that weren't covered. However,…
Definitely avoid this one. There are some good BLs out there even if you like the red flag trope. Or just green flag ones. Wu is a good BL which is currently on-going. Though it's main focus is supernatural.

I'm questioning it myself but 2 more episodes. Honestly ep10 was the worst. I was struggling to get through it specifically the beginning.

You know what?? I tried really hard to defend Yi Chen but now I can't, how can he still meet, smile and talk to…
I'm starting to think he is a masochist.

It's disturbing that People are making excuses for Lu Feng while expressing how much they hate the brother, even…
Green flag. ๐Ÿ˜„ Absolutely. I don't understand the hate against the brother. Can they in good conscience support a person like Lu Feng for a friend or sibling? Just because they are paired together in a drama doesn't mean it is a healthy relationship.

Im not defending lu feng but I just want to mention that i don't think he was trying to record them having s*x.…
Isn't that a weird way to place a camera considering the angle and positioning? Usually a camera for monitoring would be in a corner of the room at a height where it can't be tampered with. And he's rich enough to have proper cameras installed. This one looked different. Pointing at the bed hidden at eye level.

Maybe because Lu Feng is toxic, more so now than before. How would his brother be wrong to take him with him?

I have started to hate Lu Feng. Nothing about the hospital scene made me feel anything for him. He was saying, "Yi Chen, when I first saw you I wondered are you okay" and my mind completed... so I decided to drug you, kidnap you, parade men in front of you, rape you and try to record you. So please wake up so I can do it again. ๐Ÿคฎ

And of course he lied about not knowing where his brother was. No way they can redeem his character in the last 2 episodes even if Yi Chen forgives him.

Tying up Yi Chen's hands behind his back with his tie again. Hasn't it become repetitive? I have seen red flag characters in other shows but at least they had chemistry, some back and forth, some action and reactions.

Lu Feng looks like he's tied up a rabbit. Clearly it's not going anywhere. It's so pathetic.

Not to mention how brazen he is after nearly killing Yi Chen's mom and paralysing his brother. He's been throwing himself a pity party for years. Get over it.
