I think the show did a good job in episode one. They had someone criticise his mandarin, so we can just go on and believe it's a character trait. Sure, we know it's because the actor is from Sichuan- but that's irrelevant. Yang Ling just doesn't speak mandarin clearly. It's to show how the group is treated in society. That's generally how they're treated in S.K. Similarly, immigrant workers were seen as being treated poorly last season. That's what shows do. They shine a light on different groups in society. Enough shows do it, then the group no longer seems foreign and there's a clearer path to acceptance.

For me, I don’t HATE him, but I dislike him. He’s okay and they’re cute together, but he went into it KNOWINGLY deceiving Bison to get him arrested. For me, that’s unforgivable. Style didn’t really know at first, so he’s okay. It’s like the drama rule where we’ll forgive murder but not cheating. I can forgive the assassins, but not Kant (for now). He was intentionally building deceit upon deceit whilst knowing Bison was falling. Then, there's Style. What he did to Style should be unforgivable. He set his friend up with an assassin without warning him! Style likes cute boys, so of course he hit on Fadel when asked. Style started for the car, but actually fell and still hasn't claimed the car. Then, when Style learned the truth and wanted to back out, Kant threatened and blackmailed him. Kant should've either been honest in the beginning or kept Style in the dark to keep him safe- instead, he's made him an accomplice. Sure, WE know Bison is more dangerous, but Kant totally thought it was Fadel when he did that to Style. Kant played with three people's heart just to get his record clear.
I feel like some people are forgetting that JY straight up said he knew what he was doing and was doing it on purpose so many episodes back. DZ was trying to warn him about the future and he basically said "Girl, we're both reliving this life. I'm aiming for excitement. I know who I'm backing." Yeah... that was probably verbatim.
