There's a Jack and Ten novel?
I'd bought THIS novel on MEB and Cher's (GMMTV already did that one with ForceBook), but didn't see anything about Jack and Ten... Jack was seemingly heterosexual, even... pretty sure he ended up with.... umm... maybe I need a reread or maybe it's a recent release?

Pretty sure I did make my "point", though- I feel that a lot of young people are commenting.
Then, I asked two rhetorical questions about what could be the reason for a decline in critical thinking skills.
The first is an observation, neither positive nor negative. More like "The commenting style is so different from before....ah... a generational difference, maybe?"
The second has negative connotations, but is not directed at any particular person nor comment. In the comment you'd responded to, it is unclear whether I'm refering to positive or negative comments about characters, writing, actors, themes etc.

I feel like... comments are coming from people who aren't near frontal cortex development, yet. Is this one of the side-effects of short-form video entertainment and the tiktok-type craze? Are they not teaching literature in schools anymore?!

Rather than an A-hole, this male lead is legit anti-social... Like, ruined people's lives for messing with his crush/ would've committed murder if it weren't inconvenient ... As in, he cares for one person in the entire world and revolves around her. He didn't play with her feelings nor deny his own, their circumstances kind of blocked him until uni and then... plot

I think it's only so in one country -If more, not many). In others, it's the most obvious shortening of 'Japan'... especially considering the commenter seems to be commenting from France.
That is to say, one wouldn't think to "do some research" on something like this unless they're from a culture with a bad relationship/ history with Japan...

This drama specifically requires it for the other tropes to work. It's why past dalliances are implied and not shown.
Others...idk. Yeah, I've seen some where even the best lit teacher wouldn't be able to find a hint of past relationships on the male lead... but, it's romance. Most lovers of the drama are looking for familiarity of the genre- classic tropes in a new setting.
Non classic romances have what you're looking for, though. Those would have romance as a SUBplot and not the main point of the story.
