Yeah I really wanted ohm and nanon but just got to know nanon left bl.....but now I'm satisfied with this pairing…
They're just not paired together. Fans are remarkably toxic and demanding. Were they to stay paired, they'd only be able to do BL roles together. That's incredibly limiting. Now, they can do straight roles or other queer roles with a different partner. Besides, Ohm had always been paired with a new partner for his projects in the past. New project, new partner- that's how it was. However, Bad Buddy was too successful and the fans and their expectations came with that success..
So JT felt first but SW felt harder 😄 Until now I thought it was the other way round. There are only two episodes…
I think… JT fell first and harder, whilst SW loves louder. We saw from the first JT’s perspective how he basically fell at first sight when he saw SW enter the school on that first day. We saw him instigate truth or dare so SW could make friends and then listen to the game and intentionally (?) walk by… but… SW has always been more open and expressive… I’m disheartened they’ve split it into two seasons. CAN SW’s actor DO season 2? Will they recast? This is set in and airing in Taiwan, but… my dude is Chinese. We kinda want to see him in future projects and not get cancelled.
What's with the hate with Ms Jenny? If I'm not mistaken, she and Mr Xi have known each other since college and…
Are they hating on HER or that one seemingly scene? I think that was more of a ZhaoLin scene and further explanation that JiaHao is self victimising….. it was an odd scene, though.
Alright, much as I enjoyed the first 8 episodes of this show, for all its flaws, I'm thinking of dropping this…
The 9th episode was important and useful, though (except Jenny). It showed us Tian’s willingness to be played by Wang, verbalised JiaHao’s headspace, showed Tian’s animosity towards his dad (set up), solidified closeness of the boys’ group of friends… but most importantly, we sprained Wang’s ankle.
There’s really not enough time. Let’s say the do ZhaoLin tomorrow and maybe squeeze in birthday 1… That’s school festival and MAYBE birthday 2 in 11. Can that work? They’ve been doing events one at a time… I’m hoping they’ll do two at a time or there won’t be time. I need 12 to be AFTER.
Not me. He was in a parent / guardian role. I saw it as if I told my family and they didn’t hide it from their…
Yeah….. as a friend/colleague. My parents or older sibling bringing it up to their friends and colleagues read differently. Context is important. He didn’t say it to a random person for no reason.
Thing is, I’m with you up to a point. I’m also against romanticising adoptive siblings… except, these two…
I think you’re imagining it as if she were a half sibling brought into the family, then she’d be related to both. She’s not, though. Adoption is a legal process, not an emotional one. So, she’s only tied to those on the same family registry as her. That’s one thing. Another is academically speaking. From a non-ethnocentric point of view, you have to consider why some cultures/ societies/ groups adopt. It is possible that she was adopted purely to eventually marry into the family and continue the line. That way, you control the generational wealth.
Who else got angry when Qian outed Zhi Yuan to his friend from work in episode 5?I got freaking FURIOUS at him.
Not me. He was in a parent / guardian role. I saw it as if I told my family and they didn’t hide it from their friends and colleagues. It was another sign of support. Yes, depending on where and who you are, it’s precious to control who knows; but that’s not always so. -a queer person
I keep worrying about the number of episodes left and all this talk of second seasons. I LIKE this one season thing we had going with dramas. 2-3 months and the story would be neatly wrapped up… Having gone away to read the entire story, I’m apprehensive…If there’s a season 2, then, this one won’t end well… right?
I haven't read through the comments here but has anyone pointed out the fact that the ML and FL are related. Regardless…
Thing is, I’m with you up to a point. I’m also against romanticising adoptive siblings… except, these two aren’t adoptive siblings. Her sibling is the older one that she grew up with. The younger one is unrelated to her unless they’re on the same registry.
The tag is ‘Gay romance’ not BL. This counts as LGBTQ or queer romance because it is. BL tends to be aimed…
This is gay/ queer/ lgbtq drama. It doesn’t hit the BL notes. It’s not primarily about the boy getting the boy. Even the source material is not focused on the romance.
JT, from first sight (watching him enter the school that first day), seems accutely AWARE of what's happening... SW seems to be discovering. I don't know HOW they'll act on these feelings and it's making me count down the hours until each episode. There aren't many episodes left... Will we not have many happy scenes post time jump?
Besides, Ohm had always been paired with a new partner for his projects in the past. New project, new partner- that's how it was. However, Bad Buddy was too successful and the fans and their expectations came with that success..
