I think you’re imagining it as if she were a half sibling brought into the family, then she’d be related to both. She’s not, though. Adoption is a legal process, not an emotional one. So, she’s only tied to those on the same family registry as her.
That’s one thing.
Another is academically speaking. From a non-ethnocentric point of view, you have to consider why some cultures/ societies/ groups adopt. It is possible that she was adopted purely to eventually marry into the family and continue the line. That way, you control the generational wealth.

Not me. He was in a parent / guardian role. I saw it as if I told my family and they didn’t hide it from their friends and colleagues. It was another sign of support. Yes, depending on where and who you are, it’s precious to control who knows; but that’s not always so.

I keep worrying about the number of episodes left and all this talk of second seasons. I LIKE this one season thing we had going with dramas. 2-3 months and the story would be neatly wrapped up… Having gone away to read the entire story, I’m apprehensive…If there’s a season 2, then, this one won’t end well… right?

Thing is, I’m with you up to a point. I’m also against romanticising adoptive siblings… except, these two aren’t adoptive siblings. Her sibling is the older one that she grew up with. The younger one is unrelated to her unless they’re on the same registry.

This is gay/ queer/ lgbtq drama. It doesn’t hit the BL notes. It’s not primarily about the boy getting the boy. Even the source material is not focused on the romance.

The tag is ‘Gay romance’ not BL. This counts as LGBTQ or queer romance because it is. BL tends to be aimed at straight females.

JT, from first sight (watching him enter the school that first day), seems accutely AWARE of what's happening... SW seems to be discovering. How would his wife know they’re exes? In almost every episodes, they’ve emphasised that she doesn’t know. Considering the earlier scene where he showed up at her place, the worst thing would be if he left his wife’s room and went to our female lead’s whilst drunk. It might not be funny, but it’s a romantic comedy. Anyone over 12 years old should be able to understand what’s happening.

What are you talking about? They’re fully clothed and were drinking with a large group of coworkers (including the big boss and their spouses). They woke up in an unfamiliar room all on the same bed. Obviously, those three got too drunk and people put them away to sleep.

Gonna take this as the sign to finally take it off mine.
