Bias is always gonna be there, but if the show is great, it will surely be up there where it should be.
Of course, fans can keep promoting the show. I mean that's what we can do to support our actors. But ultimately it's the quality of the show that's gonna speak the most.

I think it depends on the mood of the person at the time of watching.
Sometimes, we are very critical, sometimes not and just simply enjoying whatever is there. But there are certainly shows that are captivating and phenomenal that no matter what state you are in, you will feel immense thrill, enjoyment and impact.
Just my thought though. So, instead of judging people, let's leave them be and just focus on judging the show.

Psychological slow-burn thriller is a genre that really needs meticulous script amongst other things. It's pretty risky which is either a big hit or a big miss.
Knowing that some early viewers have issues with this series, I think I am intrigued enough to watch this tonight.

Agreed. The reverse is also true -- dramas with catchy titles (almost clickbait of sort) but totally unrelated and sometimes disappointing contents.

I like both but this is better for me. Penthouse has a lot of overacting and far-fetched storylines which are fun. But this one has more depth and impressive acting; I couldn't even hate the villain, especially in those scenes with her child, ahhh so freaking great acting!

I do hope it comes out good. So far, Korea's outerspace scifi flicks have been a bit disappointing.

If you see a lot of Kdramas, this trope has been there for some time -- men forcing women to their liking. I thought it was cute before, but I realized it has really become a culture thing in Korea and it kinda sucks. Not really cute anymore in my eyes.

Same thoughts. I was intent on watching it due to rave reviews, but I guess some of us can't just really relate as much as we wanted to. Wish it had a better, more grounded and cleaner plot. It's like the writers had only the ending in mind and all events leading up to that were picked from overly used tropes such as kidnapping, violence, loud cries and screams, gangs, rich chaebol, oh and the handsome bodyguard who's just a decoration, among others.
For a drama that's supposed to be about self-discovery and healing, it's just so convoluted with a lot of loopholes.

Nahh. Viewers like it. Apparently, that's so beautiful to them. Writers know it that's why they keep using those cause that's more impactful to most -- the thrill of hurting someone, the toxic relationship, the crying, you name it...
And die-hard fans will attack you if you don't agree with them. Just like in the dramas they claim to have learnt some 'beautiful life lessons' from, they feel it's alright to be aggressive as well to make their point.

I don't think Koreans are really aware of MDL. I am not sure though. They have their own platforms and forums I think.

Alright, upon reviewing, I guess you're right I got overly repetitive with my comments, trying to defend my views.
You have to know that I am not imposing anything nor am I trying to create some hate vibe here. You must be paranoid or something. Clearly, I can never change the views of the people who already love this show especially die-hard watchers like you I guess. I got no reason to persuade anyone here.
You gotta stop the hate towards people with different views and give them space here, and not judge us as spiteful beings. Well, maybe there are some with ill intentions, I don't know. Maybe you gotta fight them. But I am certainly not one of them nor I have any reason to do so.

I didn't know MDL had that rule that if you didn't like a drama, you could only comment once. I only wrote the second comment just to add something and it was pretty short. Then the attacks came. I got to write more then to defend my views.
By the same logic, I should also be pissed off then by the repetitive comments that contradict my views.
