My dislike for the FL is really what made me quite this show halfway through. I found her kind of annoying in the beginning, but she was still watchable. Then she got the old couple killed and I lost all respect (if I can even call it that) for the FL. I came to the comment section, and discovered everybody seems to love this drama - everyone is different so... I guess this drama just isn't for me.
Am i the only one that couldn't stand Bo-Ra even though she 'calmed down' later towards the end of the show? It also made me HATE the relationship between Bo-ra and Sun Woo, that was an ill-fitted relationship in my opinion, and they were wasting our time showing us the detail of their romance. Don't ask me why - i guess I'm just a hater.
Bittersweet. From the ending we can assume that ML and FL got together, but oh, how i would have loved to watch that happen. Such a shame that she didn't really go back to the past - i loved that she became kinder but still remained tough. I haven't seen any edits or heard people talking about this drama so i wasn't expecting much. It was indeed a good watch and i found i enjoyed it thoroughly.
that wierd and creepy reporter Park hui young really deserved that end she got… like how can you smile when…
Quite a fitting end. He should have tortured her a little before ending her, then perhaps she could experience a little bit of the pain and torture she inflicted on other people.
"If you want something done right, do it yourself." If Judge Song Pan Ho had found/made a way to dispose of that vehicle himself without involving others, then he and his son could have gotten away with murder. As for Kim Sang Hyeok (Kim Kang Heon's first son), i was rooting for him at the beginning of the show, but he kept displaying an immense lack of forethought (basically the only two working brain cells that he has are competing for 3rd place. I stopped rooting for him once i discovered that he SA'd someone. I can excuse murder, but i draw the line at r*pe (this sentiment only applies to this drama).
Had to drop at Ep10. Honestly don't even know how i got that far. If there's one thing i can't stand, it's when the leads cheat and the dramas try to justify it. Yes, i understand that the ML doesn't really love his fiancée, and he told her he can't marry her. But he did not break up with her, even by phone, before sleeping with Eve. And, yes, i understand that Eve's boyfriend cheated on her. She should have told him she knows, dumped his ass, and THEN sleep with the ML. The chairman i.e. ML's almost father-in-law is an absolutely selfish asshole who deserves the absolute worst.
That ending was... absolute garbage. This drama made out to be exactly what i watched it for - a placeholder, i was waiting for another drama to complete so i could watch that. goodbye.
Boy that was a rollercoaster of events and emotions. Despite all her cruelty and betrayal, Tantai Jin really loved Li Susu with his entire being. My man could not catch a break - my heart ached from the mistreatment he received. I'm glad at the end she was the one left behind - let her do the pining and longing for a change. I knew Ye Bing Chang could not be trusted (in all her lifetimes) she was too much of a goody-two-shoes, and the fact that the prince kept falling for her in all HIS lifetimes too, spoke volumes about his poor judgement in character.
I'm not the type to not watch/drop a drama because i don't find the FL attractive so i powered through this like a champ, unfortunately this drama got the best of me - i had to drop it at 20. Everybody's tastes are different so i guess most people enjoyed this drama, however i personally just couldn't feel any chemistry towards the FL.
I wanted to like this so bad, i REALLY did. But this drama solidified my opinion that it's incredibly tough to find a good mini drama that is not full of BS. It had a great storyline, but ridiculous plot progression, I guess i'm in the minority though, since many people seem to have loved it.
Great comfort drama. I didn't get bored at any point in time (which is quite rare for me). Usually, i would get annoyed at a voice like the FL's but surprisingly, this time i didn't. I was ecstatic that the FL was firm in her 'NO' towards the 2ML's interest in her. She stood steadfast and didn't act like the typical strumpet who is easily swayed by multiple men.
I have little to no expectations of short dramas that have an average of 15 minutes per episode because they are usually extremely crappy, but this drama pleasantly surprised me. Started off disliking the FL, then liking her, then disliking her when she pushed the ML off the cliff and then i liked her once more. I love that the drama strayed from your typical cliches - i also like that it included themes that most dramas fear to. Glad i gave myself the chance to watch it.
Honestly, i feel like this show should have ended at episode 24 - maybe 25 to conclude everything. After that, it felt like they were trying to fill in the gaps/extend the plotlines by including ridiculous plots like Concubine Yan (Princess of Xiyan) falling for the old emperor and getting pregnant - then literally dying (uggghhh facepalm) - i didn't miss her. she was so meddlesome, and it was freaking annoying. The trailer was promising, and the first 2 episodes were good. I got the darkness, hatred, tension and toxicity i was looking for. The further we got, the more the show descended into a pile of fluff and hot garbage. BTW wth was that underwater scene in episode 22? They still don't know how to make a realistic underwater scene in 2024?
Seeing who they cast as the grown FL i.e. Yang Mi in episode 1. threw me waay off. Her character is apparently supposed to be about 7-8 years younger than the ML, but she looks about his age or older. I went to look up the leads ages IRL and discovered she's only a year younger. Glad to see my radar isn't off. It doesn't look realistic and i wish they would've cast a younger actress as the FL. Making her voice (idc if it's dubbed or it was truly the actress' voice) all whiny in an effort to make her seem younger was not fooling anyone.
I tried - i really did, but the FL was getting on me nerves too much. Her level of stupidity sunk to the point of no return for me. I had to drop at episode 27. The arranged marriage tag brought me here, but the FL is a foolish nincompoop who always has to meddle in things. In my opinion, SHE was the true villain and blind as a bat at that. I mean, despite the fact that her husband warned her about Gu Qi Shao she was always with him. And I don't get what Gu Qi Shao didn't understand about the fact that she is a MARRIED WOMAN!!!!! leave her alooonee!!! What did he want from her? For her to leave her husband and be with him?
I was sad in episode 35, then i was bawling by episode 36 and basically miserable all the way to the end. Great show - i love me a strong FL (glad they didn't dub her voice as whiny/pathetic) only thing i couldn't get behind (like someone in the comments said) was when she was trying to force him to have a baby with her other than that, i like leads that complement each other in strength. I loved the friendship group that was formed especially the brotherhood of the Liudo Hall guards - it as hilarious to see them always lurking whenever the leads were having their lovey-dovey moments. It was a love-hate relationship with Li Tongguang (Jiu) - i would like him and then he'd pull some stupid/annoying stunt with his obsession with the FL. Glad that he FINALLY grew up in the last few moments of the show.
TBH i'm somebody who gets bored quite easily, and i got bored by around episode 15. After that i was just skipping parts until they got back together. After they got married i went back to skipping parts. I feel like they tried to achieve the angst, drama and ferocity that Journey To You did, but didn't quite manage to. This show was just lacking SOMETHING! though i can't quite put my finger on it
