On Back from the Brink Oct 25, 2024
Couldn't get past the first 10 minutes of the first episode. It was too silly for the serious storyline i read. The effects weren't doing it for me - looked too artificial for me to apply my suspension of disbelief.

Title Story of Kunning Palace Spoiler
I loved her best friend Yan Lin. He was such a gentleman and a downright sweetheart. It was quite mature of him to let her go for her safety and not try to force her to choose him. I commend him for sticking by her side despite she not liking him romantically and also for the fact that he didn't stoop to being childish or immature. Yu Fang Yin's death was painful to witness - she was so loyal and kind and didn't I feel like they rushed the end.
The ending felt rushed. It was sort of like they were trying to squish everything to tie together in the end in the final episode - Anyone else think so too?

I'm watching this for the first time. Ironically what happened to the FL in the first episode (intervening in that fight), is actually what's happening to Jessi (the kpop artist) right now. Glasses without lenses irk my soul. Does anyone know why they do this?
TBH i feel like it was her parents (most especially her mom's) dream for her to debut as an idol. How can they just override her decision and pressure the ML. That is covert manipulation. The 2ML is so childish. I can't believe a 25-year-old man acts like that.

Title The Princess Royal Spoiler
Apparently, the emperor 'loved' Li Rong and her brother - he had a rather crappy way of showing it.
It's ironic how in the past, despite quarrelling for 17 years, Pei Wanxuan still loved and tried to protect Li Rong. He was the only one she could actually trust (as it turns out the people around her were poisoning her) but she ultimately had him killed. Despite that (having him killed), when they came back to life, he was still completely devoted to her and was ready to die for her.
Su Rong Qing was a self - righteous asshole. He could have married her the second time and started afresh with her. He just made excuse after excuse to justify his actions.
Dwelling on the past was a mistake. He could have used his knowledge of the past to make better decisions
Pei Wanxuan's servant Tong Ye was pure comedic relief - that man made me laugh

Once again, it was good in the beginning, but sort of fell off later. I got bored by episode 30. Honestly the extra 10 or even 5 episodes were unnecessary in my opinion. The further i got, the more annoying the FL's voice became.

Truthfully, I got bored right around episode 20. After that I was sort of skipping parts until I finished the show. I'm sure this is just me being incredibly mean, but I could not for the life of me muster any sympathy for Hao Jia - her scheming in the first episode landed her in the position she found herself. With that being said, it was a good enough drama.

It took longer than usual (about 2 days longer) for me to finish this drama - I don't know but, in the beginning, when she travelled back, I just couldn't get into the drama. However, I did finish it, and it was pretty good. Knowing MDL, I would have expected it to get a higher rating, but oh well. Glad i didn't let the rating stop me from watching.

Pretty straightforward, although sometimes the story progression in the first few episodes didn't make sense (seemed almost like cut and paste). The ML - major eye candy

Title A Talented Girl Grows Up Spoiler
This was the comedic break/relief I needed from the serious and heartbreaking (or at least their attempt at heartbreak) Goodbye My Princess that I've just finished watching. It was better than i expected. The episodes were short and concise. The unseriousness of this drama is what makes it so enjoyable. Ending didn't really make sense, but who cares? It was a happy ending.

Title Good Bye, My Princess Spoiler
This is MY opinion:
I did not shed a single tear - all the characters started pulling stunts that irritated me. In fact, i found the FL to be the most annoying character from beginning to the end. The majority of heartbreak they experienced could have been avoided/solved if they just opened their mouths and communicated.
*N.B. The empress' eyebrows and makeup were pure comedic relief - it was giving "off with her head" lol.

Wasn't expecting much, but surprisingly turned out to be quite enjoyable. Anyone think the FL resembles Lee Hyeri a little bit?

Cdramas are always a hit or miss for me, MOST ESPECIALLY period/historical ones - but this, THIS drama was absolutely golden. It exceeded my expectations on all levels. I usually hate when characters 'fly' in Cdramas (because they often look ridiculous), but the way in which it was incorporated into the martial arts was exquisite. Also, there was no character i hated more than i did Shangguan Qian. How did i know the b*itch was going to end up announcing a pregnancy (insert rolling eyes emoji).

Title 365: Repeat the Year Spoiler
The FL and ML were the stupidest people in this drama in my opinion. Despite most of the participants and the lisp lady proving that they can't be trusted, they both still kept making dumb moves. They should have kept their cards (discoveries) close to their chests and only disclose them at the right time to those that they could trust because of how untrustworthy most of the group proved they were, but instead, kept blabbing their mouths to every Tom, Dick and Harry who would listen.

Title Full House Spoiler
The FL is a pushover when it comes to her 'friends'. With 'friends' like that, who needs enemies? I would have put the two in prison with no hesitation whatsoever (just like how they didn't hesitate to screw her over). The audacity of those two! Not only did they make her destitute, but they also continued with their shameless behavior - breaking and entering and trying to mooch off the leads. Then they proceed to tell anyone and everyone that the leads were in a contractual relationship. Absolute sh*tty people.

The show was good, until it wasn't. I hate it when a villain does evil the entire drama, and then suddenly, and rather absurdly, all is forgiven at the end - bffr. The FL had no spine when it came to dealing with her sister in the way she needed to be dealt with.

The only thing i didn't like about this drama was the mother's romance. Added completely out of the blue and was quite unnecessary.

The FL has the backbone and resolve of a jellyfish. Also, her lack of wisdom and emotional intelligence is astounding for someone her age. I mean come on!! Why on earth would she think coming across her sister with her affair baby was a coincidence (insert rolling eyes emoji).

The only character i felt sorry and cried for was Min Jung. They were ALL bullsh*tting her. Honestly, she deserved better 'friends' (if we can even call them that) and a better husband. I will always side with her. If there are no haters of the FL then I've sadly departed the earth.

So, does anyone know if the division of assets between Eun Kyung and her ex was 50% or 30% ?
