I’m becoming slightly disappointed. Too much time is being wasted in this food competition. Three episodes? With the Emperor becoming 🙀 whipped. Turning him into a helper.
Trin and Krailert had a up close, horrid first look on how military Juntas and corrupt Government operates. It will be interesting to see their reactions. With one episode left. It’s the first time I have no idea of what will happen. How will they SHINE?🧐🧐🧐
I mean isn't that normal, he is falling for her so his behavior will change if he stays the same then whats the…
That’s why I’m saying 1/2. But they resort to the same formulas of falling on top of each other, him gallantly pulling her towards him and locking eyes, wiping mud on each other, splurging in the market on her. Would had been funny her going drunk into his quarters with his midnight snack, kissing him and not remembering the next morning. He would’ve been flustered as hell. Being externally offended being taken advantage by a lowly chef, while internally delighted. She would have been mortified, not remembering exactly what happened. Sure something did.😂 Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying the series. Just pointing out some repetitive patterns.
Shuhe’s problem isn’t that he stopped loving Duan Ziang. It’s that he can’t untangle that love from the…
Agreed! Maybe I missed it, but did Shuhe’s ever realize what a despot his brother was and how he killed his father the Emperor didn’t he realize he was next?? Uff!
I’m expecting guests today and busy with prep, so my rewatch has to wait. Every episode of Shine begs for another…
Definitely worth a rewatch, my head still spinning! Like savoring every morsel of fabulous dinner, again! Will rewatch tonight. Hoping you have a good time and a dishwasher!🫶
What a fantastic episode. Just the pushing and pulling with Victor and Trin during and after the protest was exquisitely done! Not to mention the needed meltdown and reality check between Naran and Krailert. Finished with our Thanwa and Trin deep bonding and surrender. I’m not particularly referring to the NC but the feelings, acting, dialogue. This is first class!🔥🔥🔥
I hadn’t realized that this series’s was the first collaboration between Jimmy Sea. I’m glad they still are working together on projects. That being said. You can note the shyness around each other compared to now. This was a good story corrupted by excessive product placement. Over and over. Kudos to them that they kept a straight face. The script was clever in the sense that they simplified the parallel universe theme. There was some cheesy moments. But overall it was a fuzzy story. The dialogs dragged here and there. Some scenes were unnecessary. Overall 8.5 But selling of products would bring it down to 7.5 that’s how corny and tacky they were.
Great series with a washed out final episode. After 5 years I expected to see a more passionate response to close up loose ends. The chemistry seemed dull overall. Nevertheless it’s definitely worth watching. I felt the stiffness of those times permeated society like a rotten smell. I hope grandma died without seeing Thee again. She deserved it. Just as Rati and Thee deserved to live in a more “ open minded” society, like Paris. This system of Nobility was finally abolished in 1932. Good riddance!
After seeing content on tic toc as well as here, with detailed explanations on the terminology and historical context, I got a better understanding of the plot. 🫶
I’m not a big fan of these type of series’s. Xianxia gets boring after a while for me. But let me say that this was a beautiful story. I jumped from episode 16 to 28. So I guess I missed the mortal world where he was emperor. I don’t regret it. The story was easy to pick up again. This was beautifully made. Arthur Chen and Yin Lou did a phenomenal job! I had no problem with the end either. I feel it was fitting. I truly recommend it!❤️
