FL got kidnapped , and the guards involved have run away #3 esp should have alarmed ML - since it is a serious crime against his family - would not that liu lady told him who conspired if he threatened a bit?
it seems ML and his mother are pretty useless at safeguarding their family and hiers . so much is being conspired within their family hurting family members . and they don't even see to have a clue

I like the fact FL is gentle , smart and has a bloody good judgement of people. She doesn't come with a preconceived notion. She is willing to change her opinions based on what she sees. She must have heard scary tales about the ML before she wedded him. Inaddition, in the short time she spent interacting with him ,in which time he stole her seal and kicked her out, nevertheless she judged him as better person than liu yan with whom she spent much longer time in her childhood.

i like the way the drama is handled, They haven't made it another "Scent of time" or timetravel/Rebirth trope. Just a regular drama. Which didn't take away anything in my opinion.
The Novel Liu Yan was more smitten and loyal than the Drama one - , Drama one is shown as more greedy and ambitious than the novel one - at least till the chapter I read and episodes I watched.
She was right in choosing ML in drama at the panyi standoff .. In Novel, her previous life influenced her on why she should stay away from Liu Yan.
