does everyone still get paid if they never release the drama? because I would be big mad if I were the sponsor who paid to produce the show and then never got my money back when it doesn't get released. you'd think they'd push for an international release at the very least to recoup some of the losses. although there's a lot of money laundering and such in the Chinese entertainment industry so the whole thing might have been a front to start with
Zhang Ling He is huge in China. I feel like if we have any hope of this airing his popularity needs to simmer down, this would be too big with his current fame
I'm on ep 11 and I feel a bit nauseous. This story is so awful to watch but also good. I'm very conflicted
I love everything about To My Shore and I still canāt get over it even though itās been more than three months since it ended. At the same time, I honestly donāt think itās a series for everyone. It deals with some very raw and uncomfortable themes and shows behaviors that can be really hard to watch. What makes it so powerful is also what makes it difficult. It doesnāt try to soften things or turn everything into something pretty and romantic. Instead, it leans into the messy and painful sides of relationships, which can feel very real but also very heavy. Because of that, I think it can be especially hard for people who have gone through similar experiences, since it might hit too close to home. For me, thatās part of why it stayed with me for so long. It feels honest in a way that a lot of series donāt dare to be. But that honesty comes at a cost, and I completely understand why not everyone would be able to handle it or even want to watch it.
got delusional lol
