Its not about the money. Its the dynamic, he enjoys watching her work and most of the times hes chilling in his room. Im not saying there wont be any character development later on but the fact hes easily overworking her with just a few yuan and also "gaslighting" her when she said "no". He might make up to it later but as of now its toxic.

The story is good but its so detailed and long that people lose interest keeping up. I kept up cuz i loved the cast and the fact the fml was so capable and overall didnt wanna skip on her tactics.

The plot was lost, if this was gonna happen they shouldnt have killed off so many peopel. Ye Xian made sense since he was alr sick and he wanted to achieve something but the rest dont.
I always considered ye xian an unreasonable person, which i cant deny he was most of the times. Half the show he angered me. I never thought his story would make me feel sad, but it did. Thats because his character was developed so well after the acceptance stage which cancelled out all that he initially was and it made me understand his perspective so much more.
