I am happy to see she is slowly getting better. What happened to Zhao Lusi should serve as a cautionary tale against the weight loss craze going around in China. The causal link with her depression may not be obvious to most people, but a deficiency in key nutrients can cause depression in people with that tendency. Dieting for extreme weight loss (for her height, ANYTHING under 50 kg is extreme) will deprive people of omega3 (fatty fish) and B-vitamins (whole grain, complex carbs) . The avoidance of exposure to sunlight furthermore creates a deficiency in vitamin D, which is another important nutrient in the prevention of depression. It would be too superficial to blame it all on external factors and work related stress.
Earlier this month Jeremy went on a trip to snowy Harbin in the Northeast of China for some commercial activity. He filmed a series of vlogs which you can access on his Douyin account:
Don’t fret if you cannot understand any of the narration, in the first three parts he is waxing poetically how snow and ice are the secret language of winter and in the fourth part he is tasting his way through a number of typical Northeastern dishes informing us that each of them “melts in the mouth” (there is a running counter for how many times he says 入口即化 = melts in the mouth). As always, just listening to the voice is a feast for the ears. A word of guidance, don’t watch the 4th part if you are hungry or on a diet 😋.
I am utterly disgusted that it has been revealed only now that this drama is split into two parts. I purposefully avoid such dramas but the producers, no doubt anticipating this attitude from a number of viewers, thought it wise to trick people into starting it by withholding this information. Did they not think that people also resent being tricked and lied to? I shall drop this now while the plot is still peacefully plodding along without too much suspense. This peony has wilted overnight!
To those who read the novel.. chi yun and shen lang hun is quite a minor character in the novel but it seems they…
Yeeeeh! In the book Chi Yun is my favourite character 😃 I hope they won’t change to much about this character, except maybe for one thing (book readers will know what I mean).
Given who the FL is I very much doubt that this will be a short-length drama, she usually does full length stuff.…
I’ve only seen her once as FL in Legend of the Phoenix and she was the weakest among the main cast. Also, no make-up artist seems to be able to get rid of the dark shadows under her eyes, giving her a permanent tired and worn-out look which I found very distracting. Considering she is already a good deal older than Richard in real life (which normally I wouldn’t care about) they may look more like mother and son together 😂
I just watched ep.8 and there is what I think is a massive logical error in this episode. Maybe someone has an…
The FL climbs this steep mountain to hunt for wild peonies and we are told that the climb is difficult and dangerous. Then, the next thing we see is the ML and Prince Ning leisurely riding their horses on the same mountain. How did their get up there? Did they airlift the horses? If there’s a road from Chang’an (as their presence would to suggest) why didn’t the FL take it?
I just watched ep.8 and there is what I think is a massive logical error in this episode. Maybe someone has an idea to make sense of it (details in the comment below)
😂, I know the green thumbs are having a fit about those blooming peonies
I was hoping for some gardening tips for my peonies 😂 but what they show in the drama is simply unrealistic. The plants are half-dead, then she changes the soil and adds a little fertilizer and a few days later they are healthy and in full bloom 🙄 That’s just not how nature works…
I agree. There are patterns at MDL that they allow ratings while episodes are not even aired. That's why I won't…
It is good for getting information, exchanging views, etc. It is really unreliable for ratings and some of the moderators seem to be rather biased towards some actors (for certain people any kind of info I can be posted and they have page-long biographies, for others all edits get rejected for no reason)
lowering the rating of this won’t make your fave’s show any better
So true! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 A show with a certain over-hyped idol is currently getting absolutely shredded by viewer comments on Douban. Hyping up the score on MDL and downrating other dramas won’t prevent the train crash.

There are other ways for the drama to show it is a success.
