I really want to see a post wrap trailer and stills, but I fear it will set the haters and antis off again. :(…
The haters will come, no matter what they do. Certain fandoms seem to spend more time hating everyone else that admiring their own idol and in the current economic climate, black marketing is becoming a real problem. So might as well give us something nice to watch and rewatch during the long wait.
Official wrap up tomorrow, 17th June after 144 days of filming. Happy wrap, everyone! After that comes the crucial part for the director/editor to turn all the material into a coherent and hopefully engaging drama. For the rest of us, it will be a long wait.
Nobody knows, just do the math: they will wrap up in a few days + min. 9 mths post production + review process + the platform finding a convenient moment to air it.
According to the new billing order rules, LYX should be listed first.
The new rules take effect on 10th July and will apply to the broadcast information and all promotional material issued. Technically, MDL doesn’t fall into any of those categories, so there is absolutely no need to start fussing about this here. We all know who the leads are and it really doesn’t matter in which order they are listed.
Because in most cases the actual screen time is unknown at the time of casting or even at drama startup because…
Actually, I can. Chinese characters may appear random to our Western eyes, but the way they are written follows a fixed pattern, so the number of strokes it takes will be the same for everyone writing the character. You can see examples of it on this website https://chinese.yabla.com/chinese-english-pinyin-dictionary.php?define=%E7%94%B5%E8%A7%86%E5%89%A7 Just copy-paste a character into the search field and after you get the translation choose “show strokes”. It will show you the exact steps to write the character.
This all sounds to me like the script wasn’t as “finalised” as it was said to be when they started filming.…
I see…another victim of Hofstadter’s Law 😂 Going on a European tour? That’s rough right after wrapping the drama. Sleep deprived + jet lagged isn’t a good combination! I hope he will pay attention to his health.
While rules that abolish the hacking order among actors in a drama and the related fan hysterics are certainly a positive measure, I find the mandatory use of real names problematic. Firstly, ,it will impact the actors’ privacy if their real name (which is used for their private activities) will get known among the wider public. Many of them already struggle with harassment by overzealous “fans”. Secondly, the cast list will become rather unreadable as it is filled with names that nobody recognises and artist names in brackets. That means double the text there was before! I understand that it was done this way probably to prevent actors from changing their names to “Yi” or “Ding”, but I doubt that any established actors would go that far to ensure they are at the top of the list.
Because in most cases the actual screen time is unknown at the time of casting or even at drama startup because the scripts are rarely finished and directors may decide on modifications once the filming is on-going. It has also been known for investors to meddle and demand more screen time for their protégés (curbing this practice would be beneficial to any drama). Also, during the review process, scenes may be cut or changed which will further affect the screen time calculation. Overall, it would be a rather complicated and intransparant approach, unless you want to watch your dramas with a stopwatch in hand.
By the way, starting from yesterday, the filming schedule has changed a lot and they've only managed to shoot…
This all sounds to me like the script wasn’t as “finalised” as it was said to be when they started filming. There seem to be a lot of on-the-go modifications…
I don’t think the problem is the short break that he took from acting (it was less than a year) but the fact that he has zero backing. All the main role s that his greedy little agency could get him were in cheesy idol romance dramas with actresses half his age as FL and they even sabotaged his efforts to get other roles because the idol stuff pays more. Honestly, I’d rather see him in guest roles than another one of these dramas. Thanks for crossing fingers. He should have another project coming up but I’m afraid that it will be yet another costume drama.
Is this a BL drama? I saw on BL community in Facebook and one of the moderator on that group promoting this as…
The BL league will try to promote all and everything that includes more than one guy as “censored BL”. Sometimes guys are just friends and these friendships can be pretty intense nonetheless.
Even including ep. 4, still too brief 🥲 He really needs to be cast as the lead in a Republican era drama.🙏 This look and the voice are just phenomenal!

Good actors will shine, no matter how big or small the role.
So might as well give us something nice to watch and rewatch during the long wait.

Startup in late July

Coming from iQiyi nothing surprises me anymore…
