I am asking why he died as in who ordered the 100 arrows shot at him? Looks like LCY? What crime did Gu Jian commit? Wondering if this is LCY killing another person that XF loves.

I totally agree with you. I have watched up to ep36 now and he doesn’t get any better. Basically LCY has the best of intentions but it always hurts XF the most. That is not love, it’s just self serving and ultimately it’s for his revenge so he has no issue killing a bunch of people for it.

Why does the second lead (Gu Jian) die? Not really a spoiler, it’s in the opening theme at the beginning of the episodes. And the fortune teller tells him he will die by 100 arrows.

What a horrible human being. Why use her and her family as bait/stepping stone for his revenge. Can’t he kill them all in their sleep? LCY and GJ both have excellent martial arts skills.

I don’t really know what kind of happy ending they could have? He basically caused the death of all her family and friends.
