wasn’t the name "are you human too?" before? when was the "too" word got cut
On Netflix it has always been only “Are you human “ Other platforms especially Viki usually make a simple direct translation of the Korean title, which is 너도 인간이니? Are you human too? MDL has been lately updating numerous titles with Netflix choice …It’s kinda debatable if in English when one is obviously a robot and the other human if the “too” is needed… Without the too 도 in Korean the question carries more a complaint about not being human (nice, carrying) instead a simple question about the identity
Not a critic just a regular drama watcher but I feel the FL is not much suitable for this drama her acting was…
She was relatively ok to me in Our beloved summer or Hierarchy. I have been following her for years now, and she has unfortunately dead eyes. Her eyes don’t light up even when she tries to smile. Is the reason she has challenges portraying anything positive and her acting feels not genuine. As she is very beautiful, is now very experienced and established for a 25-year she should play depressed, sick, crazy, autistic women …use her drawbacks to her advantage
That whole your father is in prison was absolute BS .. cause that's WooJoo's Grandfather either way, if the dad…
Here some cultural context is missing, in Korea people are very judgmental about the parents and have a believe that kids are extensions of their parents, if your parent is a criminal you gonna become one, you are no good… Yes the brother didn’t faced the same issue as he didn’t had to disclose his connection and hide his family from his colleagues Social services request always more to guardians, adoptive parents to birth parents
i mean fl said multiple times that woo joo is the owner of the house but then how tf sml is the landlord then
The renting system in Korea is very complicated you can rent with monthly payments and reasonable security deposit or big down-payment So I understood that her sister and her husband picked the last one and as they are dead wooju get the usufruct of the apartment
That 11th episode should had been the third. After months she is wondering now how to raise her sister’s kid…again that make her so brain dead! How can I correctly raise alone my nephew, Family court, social services visit should had been the reasons why they teamed up. The premises of all that journey. It would had made way more sense than the actual story
The educational minute was full of boloney after 10 episodes that blatant show how not to raise a baby they want to give lessons ???? - parents that die without a will and arrangement of guardianship of their unique kid when they are both orphans - she took her boss car with the baby several times…never met a single man who has the right safety chair in his car just in case. Nonsense - the kid was fed several ingredients that either could make him chocked or give him some allergies - aside the small table with round angles but the furnitures in the apartment were unsafe and no security in the kitchen and bathroom to prevent the baby to touch detergent, laundry pods…that conclude every day with some horrible domestic accidents -that poor baby sleeping in the living room when they have 2 bedrooms in that home, that a guarantee to never sleep on time or with light and noice as no adult goes to bed at 8:00 pm….quality sleep is one of the most important thing for baby - they walk the streets with the baby without stroller anybody who has walk once with a kid that age knows with theirs little legs if they walk 600m you can estimate yourself happy - they let the kid play in from of the building where there is a car park - she even said once to justify being out at night that woojo asked for a sleepover …no 2-year old asks for sleepover - they let the kid with neighbors that they know since 5 minutes as if the streets aren’t full of perverts that look sympathetic. …. And I could go on
They promoted that drama showing Kim Sung Ryung and 2/3 funny scenes if you have seen them on Internet save you some time don’t waste it by watching this as you have seen all there is to see.. I don’t know where to start with the list of issues with that production as everything is flawed. It looked like an university project 😄 The story had nothing interesting and it was messy , incoherent and boring. There were no character development. They really didn’t know how to write dialogue during at least 5 episodes. The dialogues were so unnatural, very packed.,,sometimes you can’t even follow. They were trying to hard to look smart by putting tech words and sentences longer than Joseon dynasty especially for the female lead. The jokes felt flat to me. The editing was very bad cuts were strange, order of scenes didn’t make sense some time. The length of the episodes varied strangely some episodes were 25 minutes, others 35 if I recall correctly only the first one and last were 45. Photography wasn’t the best, very grayish, sad, I saw it on Internet maybe the colours are better on tv. The director needs to go back to school as he had some big issues with champs/contre-champs it was painful to watch. But everything that can be done in a manhwa translate well on screen. The acting wasn’t the best and quality it was even blatant face to their co-stars of School 2021 who were paired at the same time in Head over heels. Maybe with a better script and real well-written dialogues they could have been better. There are some positives. They tried to be inclusive by having an handicap, a slightly +size and LGBT characters. They portrayed LGBT romances in a regular drama too. As these aren’t frequent in Korea we have to acknowledge each effort 👍👏 The vibro gags were a little dated (old) and Deja-vus for me as an European but I do appreciate the effort to be modern and to acknowledge women’s pleasure in a conservative and patriarchal country. We take each little gesture. I did enjoyed the Joseon flashbacks they were more sustainable in the story than the sudden musical.
It's the character. Kim Hee-Jung's character is supposed to be tacky and over-the-top. (She's a wonderful actress.)…
Hi I am a binge watcher and even prefer to watch dramas once they are over. I have never seen still pictures or small videos on Instagram so I have no clue what’s the vibe or cast. I think it’s a 150-episode soap too…if I manage to find a slot I can try.
Let’s see how all this unfold tonight and if a second season is to expect… I was happy to embark on this journey with 3 strong modern and mature women. I hope to see even more stories with strong women in the future
the first episodes with the twin who is the original baby mom are TRASH cheesy, it took me 10 mins at most to…
I am not a quitter but I cannot guarantee to stick until the end, I am not into this acting style. I have already Recipe for love that I am not enjoying much and I have also switch to First man as a long run filler, that I find so far better. For my Korean practice it looks like a better fit for me too. …But I have managed before to finish other long dramas that weren’t my cup of tea…let’s see in June
I think he’s acting the part of a villain that lacks self awareness just right. He thinks he’s doing it for…
-before you embark on a journey of revenge dig 2 graves - To me it also means that you cannot stay truly sane (lost oneself) when you seek revenge. Injustice should only be repaid with justice and not another form of injustice to justify your means. I believe too that his sweet appearances portrayed perfectly that kind of people who are blinded by their own agendas and aren’t fully adjusted

I was supposed to try First Man. I might have a look. I am more slice of life, medicale, period or legal drama but as I did with 50- episode for a few years I have seen like 5/6 to know the genre. I have the goal to have a full circle understand ing of Korean movies and tv production. I might dislike them (over 30 episodes period excluded) but at least I can say visually they look better than American soaps, telenovelas or soap of my own country

The character is supposed to be like this or that isn’t a justification for over-acting emotions or behaviors. Soap opera actors, writers, directors aren’t nominated next to other genres. What a surprise! You might find it funny and entertaining I find it vulgar and boring. Enjoy it!
