Don't fret about it, since the series is not done yet, many people haven't given a final rating. I am sure that the rating will be kept close to 8, I actually believe that it will increase if the ending is good. So far, a 8.4 is a very positive sign. It could be way worse, for example, The Nice Guy is reaching its end and the rating is 7.3 while viewership is bad as well. At least The Winning Try has received positive reaction domestically and internationally 💪
Evilive, although more popular than Through The Darkness, is still pretty underrated. I had begun watching it a few months ago but I took a break because I was busy with another drama. Now I'm planning to watch it really soon.
I'm done. I completed Low Life. A well deserved 8.5 for me. Criminally underrated by international fans, at least it's getting more appreciation in SK. I didn't expect to have so much fun. While the plot is not groundbreaking, the characters and their relationships were ultimately the heart of the series. The slow build-up was good in order to introduce them and establish the dynamics between them but after episode 6, things become crazier and crazier, I wanted to grab some popcorn and watch them backstabbing each other.
That being said, the ending left many unanswered questions. I understand that they might have set things up for a second season but they could have done it a little bit better, it came across as rushed.
Oh boy, I am on episode 8 and I am so excited to see what's coming next. I am very conflicted about my final rating, so far I am torned between 8.5 and 9 but we shall see. In any case, I am really enjoying myself with this drama, after episode 6 the story has become 10 times more interesting and I really want to see where it will lead

Beyond Evil and Justice In The Dark. The first one has strong bromance with queer undertones and the second one is the adaptation of bl damnei called "Silent Reading"
Although my bitterness and disappointment have toned down, my overall opinion on the series remains the same. It's still a pity that what could have been a complex action series regarding morals, guns power and justice ended up being a shallow mess.
That being said, one thing I'm thankful for is that more and more people discovered Kim Nam Gil and Kim Young Kwang. Both of them have been pretty much consistent actors and they deserve much more recognition. Thanks to a big platform, they have gotten it and I hope they'll work together again because their chemistry was really good.
So happy to see that due to Trigger's success, Through The Darkness soared on Netflix Korea. And more people discover the series after being introduced to Kim Nam Gil. It was about time the series got more attention. I hope more and more people will discover this masterpiece.
5 episodes in and I can safely say that this series is truly very underrated. The plot might not be groundbreaking but I am a big fan of the characterisation, there's something really amusing with watching a bunch of adults acting like immature teens and backstabbing each other over pottery.
Well well, I am not a big fan of romance and here I am enjoying Heedong and Seongja's interactions. I think that Heedong needs someone like Seongja in his life, I hope that even if they won't end up together, their endings will be nice. Seongja deserves to go to Seoul and sell her own clothes.

I'd say that most of the scenes between them showcased their chemistry. The meal with Elijah. Yohan deactivating the bomb. Their last scene together. Romantic or not, their interactions were intimidate and highlighted their bond. There is nothing wrong with choosing to interpret it platonically, but the chemistry was still there.

There is the romance subplot between Ju Garam and Iji and there are hints between Seongjun, Ujin and maybe Ung. We'll have to wait until episode 7 to fully confirm if a love triangle might happen.
