Never watched anything from Taiwan, but honestly... Mandarin/Cantonese sound weird as hell, I don't particularly like to hear them talk, Japanese and Korean on the other hand have a nice sound to it.
I did hear very good of Japanese crime dramas, I should watch a few more! Other than Bloody Monday, what else did you like?

I've actually considered it before, but 45 minutes and romantic comedy... It is something that needs a lot of pondering!

I don't think so... I took it a step further and watched Jumong (81 episodes), it did not go well. I'm not one to watch things slowly, I gotta marathon everything. Needless to say that does not work well with long dramas... Of course there could be exceptions, but unless the drama really looks great, I'm not sure I want to risk it >:

And they're ok for romantic comedies, honestly I've grown tired of them, only going for the airing ones since it's just 2 episodes a week. Even then I think I should stop, following too many ongoing dramas and no time to start old ones.

Emergency Couple & Sly and Single are also good, they're romantic comedies though.
