I got so much to say since I started this. There are too much useless people. From season 1, that should have been obvious but god damn. These ministers or scholars or whatever, can't do shit when necessary. It shows you who really is the backbone. I get they don't know how but if you are a hostage, GET YOUR ASS MOVING. You can't farm? Learn then. HELP OUT? Manpower is necessary so go to the field and DO SOMETHING. These people just too busy moving their lips.

That's why I liked this because the SFL is kind, supportive and sweet which are usually the main FL while the main lead is the manipulative, snob, immature. Although if he ended up with someone else, I wouldn't mind it. As long as they give a good progression (which we know won't happen lol)

Ep 1. The king is out of his mind. He is DELUSIONAL with all capitals. I know being on the throne make a lot of kings paranoid and sick mentally but like, you are already dying. You are physically sick. You don't have much time on earth... so like why are you jealousy of your son? HE made him next in line for the king. That's why he is the crown prince so he can be king AFTER HIM yet he is so agitated everytime he hear good treatment about the crown prince. So worried that he might get "replaced". Health degeneracy and stress really make you not see reason anymore. It's crazy.

There need to be more reliable sources for this hold some weight so unless more news and the actors speak on it, I'll just take it with a grain of salt.

I would say he is partially to blame because at least then, she can break it off before it got to marriage. There is so much at stake for her if she just "left". We have to admit he did it out of jealousy because what was he thinking would happen when Jang Hyun did come back? He knew he will come after him so he just ruined his "friendship" that didn't need to be ruined. I would say, your example is a bit wrong here but what you said after, I completely with you on that. The only reason I'm saying the example wrong because it seemed like you are comparing it to what Ryang Eum did. She can't confirm his death in person. He is in a different country and she already recieved the box of the deceased. Plus Ryang Eum lie just hit the nail in the coffin. She can think he lied but then what? She can't confirm it. That's the one thing she can never confirm. She have to believe it. Why else would someone lie about that?

However, the example did work for your latter statement because THOSE are indeed her fault. The fact she doesn't trust him is the reason why I hated the last episode. The relationship was never going to work if she continued to think he is liked that. How can you not believe the person you claim to love? So for that reason, the separation is her fault.

Kdrama would never do that. It would have been interesting to have a different lover for the next part but a lot of people might hate that because they stuck with the idea of "one true love".

I'm not sure lol I just finished season 1 so I don't really know what's going on. However, I do know Korean actors are highly paid and it's based on contract therefore, they can't mess with these actors schedule unless it's signed. That's why I'm just asking what's the source for this.

I hope he gets some development next season.

I finally finished this season. They were just playing a lot of games in that last episode. Watching Jang Hyun getting blamed for everything. What I can't stand, is how they keep saying he leaves people behind and then comeback then they say how, "I don't know when you will leave again. I can't trust you!" The excuses. Everytime that man LEFT, he TOLD people. He didn't just leave some random Tuesday when nobody else knew. That last episode was the worst episode so far. I know they did give a better reasons like how she want to because she can't leave her life behind, how she have family, friends and responsibilities. That, I like but they should have just completely excluded that lame excuse. I marathoned this whole season in 3 days so my mind in fresh on everything. The guy never LEFT WITHOUT telling Gil Chae. His only crime is not knowing when he will come back.

I am very aware of that fact but I still stand by my point. While it is sad he can't express his feelings, he already knows that Jang Hyun doesn't like men. He is a player. He is happy with playing pretend but he doesn't only want that. He wants to hold his commitment captive. So not only did he refrained them from being with each other, Jang Hyun left without him. He betrayed the trust of someone who been there with him through thick and thin. All because of jealousy. He preferred being a backstabber to a person he loves than moving on. That's the worst friend to have by your side.

Ep 9. I just know Ryang Eum is the reason this happened. The only reason it's ticking me off is because he doesn't want to confess his feelings for Jang Hyun so why get in the way? Why ruin it for Jang Hyun by getting in the way? You selfish ass bitch!

Because a lot of people hated the ending and the conclusion of the male lead.

Ep 7. The most colourful curses came out of my mouth from this episode. These mofos STOLE all of Jang Hyun's achievements and merits. They even took away Gil Chae's when she saved the Crown Prince's son. The frustration. I'm glad the girlies are together though. They been through a lot. I can't imagine Gil Chae alone when her dad lost his mind so I'm glad Eun Ae asked her to come. It would be very lonely to deal with the aftermath of the war by herself.

Ep 5 again because I finished the episode. I've said before Lee Jang Hyun only does things out of self interest, selfishness but this episode made it very clear that he is actually a very emotional guy. He is emotional invested in this people despite acting like he doesn't care about anyone. He sees something in people that he just can't abandon. He's giving out his compassion left and right in the form of "tagging along". He didn't want to save the king but he might because of Yeon Jun's stubbornness that led him there in the first place and his love (that he won't admit) for Gil Chae. He have concern for people which is why he is anger at the king but I believe Gil Chae is his driving force to save everyone.

Ep 5. When he suggested they should date and quit if one yearn for the other desperately or lost interest... Lee Jang Hyun, you already yearning for her attention. You are already in that stage. It's too late to be suggesting that.

Oh lol the point stands regardless.
