It have so much politics but it revolves around mostly the victims of war. If you don't mind that, I would say to give it a try. The show did a good mix of romance and politics and character growth so you won't be overwhelmed by one side. Just know there is a lot of suffering.

The way he described his love for his people and his time with them, saying they are sweeter than any delicacies in the world and how they were more beautiful than silk out there. Yet the king, after hearing all that, didn't see how sincere he was. The king is so wrapped up in his own paranoia to see his son begging and pleading...

If there is any other male character I like outside of Jang Hyu, it is the crown prince. He grown a lot out of his closed mindset and saw the world and people for what they are. I'm saddened to hear he is sick and if I remember correctly, part 1 started by revealing he dies... I hope his ending isn't heartbreaking.

Ep 8. The crown prince acting is so good. The way he was sobbing while talking to the king... a new talent with actual skills. I hope he got complimented a lot for this role.

When Eun Ae panicked just because the man touched her... it was just sad. She acted like her love life was over forever and I just can't imagine what women during that period had to endure just because of men'a fragile ego.

They do want to increase the ml relevance. I would say some of them don't like him for good reasons . However, that ironically only proves how relevant and vital he is to the story. Even his haters WANT to talk about him. There is probably one person put of 20 people talking about ml. They may not like Si-o but he stays in everyone's mind.

Considering everything he had done, his only ending is jail or death. People calling Nam Soon evil over exposing him need to understand the plot better. She did nothing wrong. Although they free to be disappointed about it.

The worst type. I'm never watching these weekly. I don't know how they get viewers with this set up.

Actually had me tear up because the way people were dehumanising women over not killing themselves on the possibility they may have gotten raped... her father was going to choke her to death so she won't face the "humiliation" even though she fought so hard to get here. I was happy to finally see a man who doesn't think of himself. A man who didn't think he is the victim on HER experience. She is the one traumatised and she need the hug more than anyone.
