Not a bad ending. Had many sweet moments and I'm glad to see them tie most of the loose ends.
I'll accept this as an opening ending, however, the conclusion to Gyeyoung's death is dissatisfying. It feels like the series skirted around the actual motive because they didn't want it to be dark. They are either pedophiles or human traffickers, in this case, the latter because it's wasn't one culprit but two. If he was just being a psycho, he would have killed her immediately instead of keeping her locked up for few days then taking her dead body to his hometown. It also doesn't explain the father death. How did he find the clues when there were no clues left behind? And how did he die? A grown adult getting killed isn't the same as a defenseless child.
I see what they were going for with the whole "it follows real events of how some cases don't have all the answers" but this isn't a cold case. The culprit is alive, jailed, and the bodies are found. There are answers. I'll just accept the open ending they left for the viewers own interpretation.
someone please spoil it for me please since I dropped it, I want to know if I was right
You were right. They never explained why or how the girl actual died just to put it out there. Her father also died but they also didn't explain why for him.
the grandmother turned out to be not their grandmother ,, they didn't elaborate on her story
She is the mother of the husband who divorced Dahyun's mom. I think they explained it well. She felt bad for her daughter-in-law and decided she wanted to help her out.
FINALLY I'm so happy they finally opened their restaurant after so many episodes LMAO6/10 for me... It would be…
Link is just a plot device. This is one of the rare series where a fantasy element built the romance. If it wasn't for the link, they would never be together.
She thought he'll be driving his car (so she avoid possibility to be kidnapped on the road), it doesn't cross…
The store owner was an old man and alone in an isolated area. The stall had three other witnesses that she could stick with. Yes, I can mock her choice because a real victim wouldn't have done it. She have a privilege most victims don't, she is aware ahead of time who wants to harm her while most victims don't. She had many opportunities to take precautions, most victims don't. If she was real victim, the killer would have killed her by slitting her throat instead of her sides. She is a character made to be stupid for a plot and saved by the plot. When she was runnung, she could have screamed for help but she didn't because plot didn't want her. So yes, I can mock these decisions.

If she thought he would enter his car and leave, it makes more sense to sit back on her spot and say she will order another dish rather than risk taking an alley. She doesn't owe him an explanation further than necessary considered she remembered he was a culprit. He is a stranger and he can't insistent when there were PEOPLE behind her in the stall and road to the main street behind her. If you were in that situation where you remembered a killers face in public, you would not leave. Do not dumb down yourself for a kdrama.
So you are telling me, Dahyun was near a street tent/stall and instead of staying put where people are around, she chose to go to an alley where nobody is there and they spend 20 minutes showing the consequences of her actions? She was even on a call but of course, she never completed her sentence.
Aside from FL being dumb as usual, Gyehoon really the saving grace. His scenes were heartfelt and I'm glad to see him finally get the closure he needs.
I'm 30 minutes into the first episode and the cinematography of the drama is pretty! Director really put in some work to get beautiful shots. I hope they keep up this level of quailty for 20 episodes.
It's plot driven but it is also centrally a romance. Sometimes the show leans more fantasy sometimes it leans…
I enjoy romance so I don't mind if they focus on it at some points and not at the other. It's just gets tiring to see half-baked plots with the romance being the only redeeming quailty. I hope this seires surpise me.

Edit: The only explanation is he reads people's expressions pretty well.
