so you are basically asking if we need LWY for Future Ji Ling to exist how can Future Ji Ling go back and save LWY.

So yeah to resolve that paradox, we can just say it a parallel world.

Or we can just accept that since Ji Ling now possesses full dragon deity power. He is now unaffected by timeline-altering, similar to how WSG remembers everything.

But then we're looking at the mechanics of how events can unfold, logically it seems like it shouldn't work, and often times when dealing with time travel, logic has to be suspended in a way.

But Ji Ling still completed his journey; he altered his fate, and he is no longer lonely, as he now has a future with the new LWY.

A lot of people say that the real LWY dies with all the memories, but the thing with memories is that you can always make new ones. Ji Ling, if he still has all his memories, can give LWY the life she always wanted.

I rewatch episode 29, I mean from that angle I cant even tell if it the same sword. As to When did Ji Ling die, I cant prove a negative. That why I say there 2 possible explanation one where Future Ji Ling just take over that time line Ji Ling.

For the other explanation as to when Ji Ling would die, Would be probably sometime after the scene where LWY cut her tail, but without LWY. I know you say he cant die cause of dragon scale and what not. But it important enough that Ji Can send LWY back to change this part.

We know he can die, he actually did many time when ending the drought.

I mean, if you put it like that, sure, but with the context of what happened in the drama, it becomes much harder to explain.

If Future Ji Ling goes back to the past and removes LWY, then if there is a Ji Ling native to that timeline, he essentially doomed that Ji Ling.

That timeline’s Ji Ling would also have his own Ji Can. But even in the episode I mentioned, Ji Can says he did not expect LWY to meet Puppet Ji Ling, and then follows up by saying that it was not something he could predict, even if he could see the future. That itself is a paradox, because Ji Can wanted LWY to go back and sever her tail to give Ji Ling the courage to continue living. But because Ji Ling continued living, they eventually met again. Their meeting happened without Ji Can’s influence, because Ji Can himself tells Ji Ling this.

So yes, fate had always brought them together in the first place, LWY meeting Puppet Ji Ling. But the drama also heavily implies that LWY’s actions are the very reason Ji Ling survives long enough to create puppet Ji Ling to meet LWY.

That’s why I say it's a paradox.

Because if Future Ji Ling removes LWY from the timeline entirely, then he may also remove the emotional event that allowed that timeline’s Ji Ling to survive his loneliness in the first place.

But yes, if you look at it this way, it does imply that Future Ji Ling, by breaking the cycle, indirectly kills that timeline’s Ji Ling, assuming one existed. Or we can assume Future Ji Ling works similarly to WSG, where he essentially phases into the new timeline and merges with that timeline’s Ji Ling.

So if LWY never existed in that timeline (Taken away by Future Ji Ling), . You’re right that we don't know how much of the timeline has changed. But because of Li Jie, we can confirm that a Ji Ling must have existed at some point. Or, if we take the approach I mentioned above, we don't need to worry about whether Ji Ling in that timeline existed.

So I also rewatch episode 25, Ji Can told Ji Ling how to prevent his fate is preventing Ji Can from existing. Ji Can also stated that this is the only way to prevent your fate.

So this basically imply that Ji Can cannot just choose not to consume Ji Ling.

Having intention and being able to do it are not the same. Ji Can cannot just save Ji Ling from loneliness. He needs someone else to do it.

Yes, this does mean it is possible anyone could just save Ji Ling from his loneliness... but it is clear that only LWY could.

Then why didn't he ? why did the only timeline that Ji Ling was saved cause LWY existed 🤓

Cause he probably can't even if he never wanted to consume Ji Ling doesn't mean Ji Ling wont be consume by loneliness.

Like Ji Can say he can see the future, but in the same breath he also state that he cant predict everything.

now thinking back maybe Episode 22, when TJR delivered that emotional why he cant change the ending after everything I've done. It not just loneliness, it also guilt that Ji Ling felt. being Long Shen does make him extreme lonely but being unable to do anything because he doesn't have dragon deity power made him felt really guilty.

Also in episode 24, we still see Ji Ling consume by Ji Can when he though LWY die. So this show that even if Ji Can didnt want to consume him, he still can be consume by loneliness/guilt.

It's still something to think about... There is no right answer, just what makes the most sense from what we know! There are still things that they never answer, and at times, personally, maybe it's best not to think about them 😂

But on the other hand, we have people out there still thinking YWH and YXZ are twins. 😂😂

Li Jie, in the new timeline, isn’t the same person as WSG, for sure, as he has no memories of the old timeline. So we can assume he is simply part of the new timeline.

Largely, his coming into being would be similar to how, in the old timeline, Li Jie is created by the butterfly demon consuming YWH within the 50-year time period before Ji Ling came, killed the Fox Queen, and took LWY.

So the real question is: do we believe there is a Ji Ling in this new timeline? If we say he exists, we simply accept that the Ji Ling from that timeline probably died after being consumed by Ji Can. That would naturally resolve the issue of how Li Jie was created from YWH, because there was still a Ji Ling in that timeline for YWH to develop his obsession toward.

I see what Yara and Shreya are talking about, but remember what Ji Ling did by killing the Fox Queen and removing LWY. HE BREAKS the cycle. Because the cycle itself creates many paradoxes. One of them is that LWY keeps going back in time to save him. This is why we can assume that, in the “new” timeline, where the cycles no longer exist, Ji Ling would eventually be consumed by his loneliness.

Since you responded, I entertain you. Li Hong Yi was honestly carried by the Blood of Youth script, and he isn't even the best part of that drama.

And his other works, maybe he got unlucky, but they are all lackluster 😊

well basically everything that happen til episode 3 happen in the novel to a T... Almost everything we've seen past it in the drama has been an original script. for example Moon Envoy and DYH arent the same person in the short 9 chapter short stories
