I am withholding my true reaction because I am still such a fan of Ohm and Fluke. This seems like the money ran out or the writer got amnesia. I can follow where their going but to make sense it should have been at least 20 episodes. Someone dropped the ball but it wasn’t Ohm or Fluke.
I like this version so much better than En of Love. I watched that one once and once was enough. I have rewatched this version twice already. It just seems so sincere and the path to true love resonates so loudly with me.
This really touched me. I don’t cry easily. Maybe it’s because I lost my soulmate in 2018 and what I wouldn’t give for just one more day with him. I just think this was so beautifully done.
Oof you spoke on point about Porsche’s previous roles😭
Thank you. I like and support gay actors playing a role in BLs but I really hope we see them in more positive roles and healthy relationships. The only three I frequently are Porsche, Fluke and Earth. There was one I think in Triage and KinnPorsche.
So far I am really liking. Love the mls and the cast. Love the ost . It’s really upbeat and gives off happy vibes. Also like that there is a gay older couple who are Ai’s fathers. Love Porsch in this role as Ai’s father. Hope he doesn’t turn out to be a scoundrel like some of his previous roles.
Am I the only one who is not okay with the 20 Yr age gap and the fact that, In just went from father to son??…
Considering that the father has been long dead and it appears that In and the father never physically consummated the relationship I’m ok with it. They are also both adults.
I found this interesting: 2021-2022 1. The Eclipse. 8.7 2. Triage. 8.6 3 A Tale of a Thousand Stars. 8.6 4. Not Me. 8.5 5. Bad Buddy. 8.5 6. 180 Degrees Longitude. 8.4 7. About Youth. 8.4 8. I Told Sunset About You. 8.3 9. Love in the Air. 8.3 10. Vice Versa 8.3 I guess it’s true. Variety is the spice of life.
6. I was expecting more from In. But some people never change...
Remember In comes from a world where being gay is an abomination and something to be ashamed of. Wang recognizes this and his mother reinforces this belief. Had In not been ashamed he would not have ignored the calls from Wang’s dad. He was ashamed then and he is still ashamed which is why he lives alone in that cold, dark, depressing mausoleum that he built. Wang tries to get him to come out into the light but notice when the mother reappears In once again retreats into his cave. Wang too retreats when he assures his mother he will never leave her. When I read the interview with the author and he said he was crying as he wrote the last episode I realized then that there would be no happy ending for Wang and In. Obviously the author chose to be realistic. There is still much work to be done to break down barriers but it won’t be my generation. We are too steeped in rigid, archaic ideologies. Why do I say this? Because even I do not dare reveal that I watch BLs or any gay based work. It’s ironic because I actually did my Masters Thesis on James Baldwin and his perspective on love as depicted in his literary works. And that was in 1980. So I put my faith in the Wangs and the future generations where hopefully individuals can live their truth without scorn or shame.

I don’t even want to see the mother

A picture alongside her urn
