I agree with much of what you have said. I just finished it after putting it on hold two years ago. I’d forgotten I’d given it up because it was so repetitive and boring in parts. I liked the slapstick humour most of the time but sometimes it wore on me. What wore on me even more was the bloated corruption storyline. I get it and it’s good to point out societies ills but it was just too much and too repetitive.

The acting was great, the music was awesome and the storyline was just too overdone. The series could have easily been a 16 episode show.

Well I’m sorry it surprised you. if you give it up now it’s not a huge loss. A good enough show but not a great one.

I wish they had been captioned too.

I assume it was kept a secret to be more of a surprise when it was revealed.

oh, I absolutely agree. I started watching it. Heard the music and thought wait? What year was this made? Saw that it was 2010 and thought OK that makes sense. Pretty sure I’ll finish it. It’s interesting.

I’m watching it right now and I have various complaints about it but the score is the absolute top complaint! Weird semi incest plot - a bit worrisome but nothing compared to that brutal over the top melodramatic score.

Canada is so huge. There are many very beautiful places and some that are less so. Also beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say.

I just finished the 4th episode. so far I’m really enjoying it. One thing I find hilarious as a Canadian is the way they are going from one site to another without letting the reality of the distance impact the story. Some of these places are a two hour drive (one way) apart. However I’m willing to suspend my need for accuracy to see the beautiful cinematography. Hopefully the story keeps up.

As an older adult watching this I must say I’m somewhat creeped out by the age difference. I’m not sure how old kids are in high school in Korea but the idea of a lawyer and a high schooler being together is creepy. I think based on the part where they were young that it is a 6 yr difference or so which is fine when they are 36 but not if they are 18 and 24.

I enjoyed it over all. I agree there were a ton of tropes going on but the actors pulled it off. I also found aspects of Mom’s death very questionable but meh I was willing to overlook it.
