Bloated
There were definitely things I enjoyed about Vincenzo but overall I found it quite bloated. It would have done better at 16 episodes.Unlike others I didn’t find the blend of humour and noir off putting. In fact the humour is probably what kept me coming back. What I did have trouble with was some of the more serious aspects of the show. For instance when Vincenzo fails to recognize who the bad guy is in the tunnel scene it was very off putting. Vincenzo is supposed to be an incredibly smart guy and yet even with the bad guy’s phone ringing when Vincenzo calls the number somehow he misses the clue. The explanation is too weak for words.
I also had trouble with the way the character’s actions didn’t always fit what we knew about them. The goons became loveable guys, Vincenzo the incredibly savvy Mafiosa, made major errors, the FL goes from I hate violence to yeah I’m good with that brutality in no time. The story needed more editing and more paring down.
I also found the ending difficult. To go from an abundance of humour to two incredibly violent deaths was too much for me. Vincenzo was a bad guy, an anti her. I get that but those deaths were absolutely over the top in my opinion.

Starts strong, ends weak
This story begins well. The two leads meet and the female lead accidentally leaves the male lead seeing ghosts. this is something she has been doing for years since she almost died in a boating accident that killed the man she loved. The Part where the male lead is seeing ghosts and they are working together to solve their deaths is fun. The ML is scared and ill at ease in a fun way. Eventually he comes to see that if it’s this hard for him with support it must have been terribly hard for her with no one to tell or consult. The biggest problem is that the ghost aspects disappear by halfway through. The story focuses much more on things going on with the second male lead who realizes he has no chance with Yeo-ri and starts doing nefarious company rival stuff.
The second half of the show is fairly boring aside from fun interactions with and about secondary characters. Sometimes I find 16 to 22 episode series a bit long. in this case more ghosts through out and a longer lead in to the resolution might have helped.

disappointing
This program started out really well. Up to episode 5 or so I would have easily given it an 8. It was funny, the pacing was good, the acting was good. Unfortunately the further along it went the weaker it got. The pacing became a major problem and the story spent too much time on silliness and not enough on developing the plot especially for the secondary characters. Silliness is great and fun but not when it replaces actual story.Overall the acting was good. The team were all good characters. Sadly they sort of disappeared toward the end.
The final episode was one of the weakest finales I have ever seen for a show. Things were wrapped up but not particularly well. It felt like a checklist was being completed and nothing more.
This was a seriously disappointing show.
