It was actually good. I always feel that Chinese movies are either hit or miss although they have nice looking posters most of the time. and took my time deciding to watch this but worth the wait.

I watched the 1983 version, so this 1958 version felt different. Almost lighter because of the Kabuki format but the story is just as sad. The son in this version was so loving towards his mum.

But cadence has little to do with thought processes or arguments about Contrast both as a film and a "manga". Fortunately I watched the drama and read the manga. It's weird being dismissed just because I used AI to structure my thought process.

Most of these comments here on MDL is repeating myself to people who think their arguments are new or people forcing me to repeat myself. Therefore, AI is a great way to repeat myself without feeling like l'm wasting my time speaking to walls or people who think they're right in a forum just because they don't agree with how a film ends.

Honestly,arguing with trolls (I know certain accounts that like arguing in comment section) or people who think their fresh-hot-take is the second coming, when they haven't even read the source material, is exhausting. Using AI to preserve my sanity while still getting my points across isn't "cheating" it's self-preservation and helps with the forum fatigue.

I've watched the drama and read the manga. The opinions and interpretations are mine. AI simply helped me organize and phrase what I already thought.

If you think my analysis of Contrast is wrong, tell me why. But dismissing it because you think it "sounds like AI" or because of cadence doesn't actually engage with the argument.
