I really liked the concept of this dystopian, sci-fi movie. It would be great to have a remake of this one.

I kept ignoring this because I thought I had watched it. Turns out it's the Japanese version.
I liked that 🇯🇵 version better, one thing about Japanese movies for me is how they get the atmosphere just right with the subject matter.

Sometimes I feel like Japan is the only one interested in these types of human-interest dramas. And I love them for it and trying to explore deeper human emotions.

Such a good-looking couple. Hard to believe it's almost 40 years old because she looks really stylish.

The story was kind of slow but I really liked the cinematography.

I hate that they made the ugly girl be everyone's servant and begging to live her life. Just played into that stereotypes of the loser girl.

I also think Yujin was a little bit rude, when she's the one that needed help. A rude person is a rude person in spite of who they are.

I also would have loved to see what happened to the hairstylist guy. Did he keep going and become something.

Such a great movie. Glad I watched it. I'm glad it had some happy moments too. But the amount of selfish people in one film is so heartbreaking.

I'm glad Mukai Riku keeps on doing these insane, slightly unhinged dramas and movies. I always watch, even though I know where it leads.

Those Aliens seemed faster and stronger no way they could have gone that long. And while I love Zo In Sung, how come he didn't break any bones.
I'm sorry but l felt more sorry for the Aliens who seem to have been innocent and didn't deserve to be killed.

I felt like there was alot of running around that was not necessary without the hook or telling the viewer what's happening. For the first 30-40 min it's running around.
The amount of swearing also didn't make it more interesting. Also no backstory for any of the stuff happening.
I'm also against killing things you're not sure about whether they are innocent or guilty.

Her husband was low key annoying. It was like she carried the relationship and carried him too. The talk about environmental issues made you think that someone would explore it a bit more.
I liked how it's actually slow because I mostly watch Thai Horror,so this was kind of different.

It was kinda cheesy but I did have a few laughs.

At first I was like, nothing is happening then it starts happening. Totally unexpected. Reminded me of Panor and it feels like the male version of
Panor. It's also very Indonesian Horror movie coded with all the rituals and gory scenes.

Thailand always does that evil vs good thing that I don't always agree with. Pressure to forgive those who deserve to be punished.

Too political in that Hye-jin’s speechifying and moral high ground often crossed into condescension because her solutions were individualistic and moralizing, rather than structurally viable. When a protagonist preaches high ethics without offering a compelling or realistic alternative to the system they oppose, the writing shifts from incisive commentary to unearned sanctimony.

I wrote a long review about the drama pointing out some of these inconsistencies and why I gave it a 6.5 rating. IMO 7.6 is even more generous.

No, pretty much fair and deserved rating. It's way too political and preachy and the romance is not even the central theme.

Do I think Uncle Phol is guilty? I don't know. But him making himself the hero and capitalizing on the tragedy was definitely wrong. I still think it's trial by social media and tragedy.

I'm sorry but Uncle Phol needed to mind his own business. He did too much but I guess in the age of social media and going viral everyone does too much.
As an English speaking person whose chronically online, it gave me a good perspective of how social media is causing havoc to all people. Some of the comments were so brutal. Influencer, YouTubers, amateur journalists all adding to the chaos.
