At first I was like, nothing is happening then it starts happening. Totally unexpected. Reminded me of Panor and it feels like the male version of
Panor. It's also very Indonesian Horror movie coded with all the rituals and gory scenes.

Thailand always does that evil vs good thing that I don't always agree with. Pressure to forgive those who deserve to be punished.

Too political in that Hye-jin’s speechifying and moral high ground often crossed into condescension because her solutions were individualistic and moralizing, rather than structurally viable. When a protagonist preaches high ethics without offering a compelling or realistic alternative to the system they oppose, the writing shifts from incisive commentary to unearned sanctimony.

I wrote a long review about the drama pointing out some of these inconsistencies and why I gave it a 6.5 rating. IMO 7.6 is even more generous.

Do I think Uncle Phol is guilty? I don't know. But him making himself the hero and capitalizing on the tragedy was definitely wrong. I still think it's trial by social media and tragedy.

As an English speaking person whose chronically online, it gave me a good perspective of how social media is causing havoc to all people. Some of the comments were so brutal. Influencer, YouTubers, amateur journalists all adding to the chaos.

It was actually good. I always feel that Chinese movies are either hit or miss although they have nice looking posters most of the time. and took my time deciding to watch this but worth the wait.

It's giving a "Will Love in Spring" vibe so I had to check it out. Thankfully, it's also 24 episodes. Would love to read the Web novel if anyone can hook me up. Used to reading Danmei but willing to try this one.

A true spy knows that he's never safe. You always have to watch your back. Even modern parents who aren't spies put airtags in their kid's shoes.Even his threat assessment instincts were dead, there was always something fishy about the supermarket ahjussi. I would have been suspicious of him. He wasn't a threat but it would be obvious I'm being watched.

Just like someone whose lived in prison or the army maintains certain routine and traits I think spies do too. Someone trained in counter-intelligence is hyper-aware of anomaly detection.

I'm surprised Agent Kim never put a tracker on his child's phone. I feel like that's what a spy would do first or at least think of doing. With that sketchy past, I would do it.

I watched the 1983 version, so this 1958 version felt different. Almost lighter because of the Kabuki format but the story is just as sad. The son in this version was so loving towards his mum.

"Dad might come back" 😭😭

I had mixed feelings about a man the society finds "good" but left his fatherly duties behind. It was an emotional movie.

I like revenge/lets burn the whole world down movies, especially where the guilty parties bleed, and the hurt give out judgment like they are the "punisher".

Sometimes people think I hate on Thai films/Lakorn when I say they have toxic masculinity and misogyny.
